Chromatica I into Alice - Curtains drop and she’s suspended over the Dance Floor/Pink hole on her back with her hair hanging down , head tilted back and looking like she’s falling down the hole, she sings the first lines then the Beat drops and she falls into the hole. She then reappears and then sings the “could you pull me out of this alive” dancing starts with loads of backing dancers. Lots of pink lighting and sparkling rocks and mountains in the background. You’ve arrived in Chromatica baby 😂😂

Yes I saw it! I didn’t have the best seats for this tour so her entrance seemed underwhelming to me because I couldn’t really see her. I was waiting for her to reveal herself.

Ok then I guess it makes more sense. Don’t know if you’ve attended the Monster Ball as well, but I have to say concerts tend to feel more dynamic on DVD. Not saying the MB intro was boring, but when it comes down to it, it was basically Gaga standing behind a curtain… not necessarily anything more elaborate than the BTWBall.

I was in the monster pit in 2012 and it was the most insane moment of my life.

I’ve seen every Gaga tour! I saw both versions of Monster Ball, the theatre version at Radio City Music Hall and then the expanded arena version.  That whole tour was the most insane of my life. That tour became a massive phenomenon (I believe it’s still the highest grossing debut arena tour in history) and she has just gone from successful to superstar and everyone was newly obsessed with her. I was so obsessed and everyone dressed up and every shoe was magic. DITD is one of my fave songs and so when I heard the notes it just elevated me. Everyone around me was freaking out seeing her behind the screen and then when she emerged it was a crazy insane happy moment. DVD never does it justice as it doesn’t absorb the energy of the room.

Why are we fighting about BTWBall / MB openings when Joanne was literally just a countdown clock. Like the same clock you use on your microwave to see if the popcorn is ready.
