On our way back to the hotel there was a gang just standing around staring at people playing loud rap music on a speaker and one guy kept walking back and forth to intimidate everyone. Kept my eyes to the floor. Definitely not the safest of places. :enigma:

Mmm Tottenham is an interesting place at night :bear:

I haven’t heard of any incidents yet and more just people intimidating fans.  I think it’s mostly just the gangs and “locals” being unwelcoming to concert goers as it interrupts their business and increases police presence.  They’re not really looking to f*ck with people, just show their unhappiness that concerts are going on.

I hope everyone got home safe last night, the crowds were insane upon leaving the stadium.

Omg it was INSANE leaving the stadium, it took an HOUR walk to eventually get to Seven Sisters, luckily I got a lift home from there and didn't have to catch the train/tube.

I also echo, the area was extremely dodgy, however I kept with fellow fans and avoided being near the dodgy looking people.

yeah i feel like twickenham was better?

she could easily sell out like Wembley idk why she didn't choose that (idk if Wembley's a good area tho i've never been)

Wembley was not available this weekend...what didn't help last night was the train strike shutting the overground. Wembley isnt much different to Tottenham

No worries, it's rare to find a top who replies :lmao:

Hahaha

I’d say in general it’s hard to find a grindr gay who replies 😂

Was definitely the case for me in London😂

At least you were able to open grindr. When I arrived in Arnhem grindr crashed already and it only started working again after being on my way home

I’m glad you got home ok! It was quite scary leaving the stadium plus the journey home, someone came towards us and bullied my sister in the car to move to the side. London traffic is just horrific.

I will say without going away from the topic, I was nervous being around over gays last night as I was worried they’d be shady but everyone seemed so friendly and gave kind looks and it was nice to see/hear other people like yourself helping others.

I've been to Wembley 20+ times, it's nothing of the sort. Locals came out of nowhere to yell in my face for being stuck in traffic. There were cars in front & behind me, nothing I could possibly do and out come these eyes from the night to scream at me. Random locals moving their cars to block traffic from getting out of junctions then abandoning them, I watched 3 or 4 cars smash off the wing mirrors of parked cars... never have I ever witnessed such repulsive human behaviour at Wembley.

Regardless of Wembley being booked, Twickenham was available both nights from what I've seen..

But the bigger question here is... why london? It's SO inconvenient for everyone involved. You may think "that's where most people are" and that's true, but majority of the 80k tickets were sold to people who had to travel anyway, so the point is moot.

You know where has a MUCH better infrastructure and less disgusting people than that dump we went to? Manchester. International Airport, arena, Stadium, gays, Central for the whole country (Scotland, East, west, south) its a no-brainer.

I think they hot this stadium cheap due to the inexperience in holding events... well if they were looking for cheap then do it in Hull! It's incredible easy access & has everything you need minus the Airport.

Or Nottingham!

SO many options that aren't London. So many options that don't endanger people. So many options that don't trigger or upset people. Londonlondonlondon.

Night Vision

I was at the show last night, it was absolutely incredible. One of the best shows I’ve ever attended in my life. I don’t even know how Gaga can top this tour but I’m sure she will.

Loved both shows. Among the best stadium pop shows I've seen. Wonderful energy onstage and a crowd that seemed very much up for it. Limbs aching a bit today from all the jumping.

As for the venue, it was marginally better organised than for GNR, but literally any other stadium/outdoor venue in London would be preferable. I hope it doesn't become a regular stopping point for anyone.

Agree completely, there are so many other cities that are better equipped for hosting stadium tours.  Cardiff, Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham etc are all easy to get to for international fans, have plenty of places to stay, good transport and I think are easier to navigate than London.  They seem to understand how to prepare their cities for big events and have extra transport, clear signage and will create safe routes for fans to get out and about after.  London just seems to let the flood gates open and wishes everyone the best.

Ok so yesterday i was seated just  to see the whole show in a different view, and today GC.

my opinion is that although this tour if fun its definitely not her best or Stadium fitting. The stage should have been wayy more big and special, i mean an artist in her status should have been able to provide that especially after 2 years of planning. The interludes are beautiful but sometimes feel out of touch from each other and too long. Plus - isnt this the 1st tour shes not changing wigs or makeup?

But she has hair and makeup change before Stupid Love :yennefer:

Iirc BTWB didn't have any hair or makeup change.

Really don't judge London by last night. Literally any other stadium organises things better, extra transport is always laid on.

Last night had a perfect storm of being at the least accessible stadium in London compounded by a rail strike. Even with the strike, any other venue in London would have handled it better.

I’m not sure about that really, I’ve been to a few different concerts and festivals in London and it has always been the same with leaving the event and then it’s just carnage with little organisation.  Before this my last big event in London was Mighty Hoopla and it was the same, walked out and it was hell with people everywhere, roads that should’ve been closed not closed, no extra transport etc.  We ended up walking to the nearest gay clubs and they were also all vastly unprepared for the number of people coming… it’s always the same with London, I don’t know why it’s so bad.

In my experience, other cities handle big events far better.  A good example is my home city (Bristol), they’ll close down roads, have extra busses put on or shuttles that only operate for the event, put pop-up bars in the streets so people can stand around drinking outside the clubs rather than everyone trying to cram in etc… I’ve also noticed Manchester does this too.  They just get what people need/want after these events.
