This is so extreme actually. It doesn’t state that she’s launching NFTs and stuff. It’s probably to avoid people profiting off of her name + she might not be educated about the environmental impact of NFTs which’s completely understandable since many of us here are not educated about it either

whilst an NFT is not essential and it's just pollution generated for somebodies wallet  and you bring up private jets as if the majority of this website are using private jets? what's the point in googling private jets?

The reason why I brought it up is exactly the reason you have pointed out, NOT all of us have private jets, in fact I presume none of us own one here. Also, the reason why I asked the question is that... one flight with a private jet causes far more damage than using smartphones for a few weeks by thousands of people. I think what I'm trying to say here is that we should redirect the aim to celebs and rich people fueling the decay of our planet and not 'regular' people like us (whatever that may connote).

So people are buying receipts for virtual things they aren't actually able to own or do anything with in real life. That are constantly wasting real life energy. Damaging the environment.  Using essentially chucky cheese tokens. That cost real money. 

Sounds like a really smart thing humans are doing. 😶

oh i completely agree with this! which is what most of my anger is directed at 

why are the regular people being told to use paper straws whilst katy perry gets to scam her fans into buying NFTs or Amazon gets away with being... Amazon?  it really winds me up lol

Anyone who defended NFT so hard must have bought one of those stuffs or even some, and do what they need to do to not look silly. It's like, convince yourself.
