Very similar for sure.  One thing I never understand is why does it take so long for people/bands to sue for copyright infringement.  The song's been around for two years and spent most of last year in the Top 10.  Did they just notice the song last month?

I think it's pretty obvious that they will get more $$$ the bigger the song was, because the won't lose this case anyway. :classy:

Queen tingz :diane:

I honestly think it’s just a coincidence. Levitating is one of the more basic songs on the acclaimed Future Nostalgia. Very Jamiroquai esque too

Out of every single recent hit song that’s been accused of plagiarism, this is by far the most plagiarised one of all. Are people deaf, it’s a literal copy down to the lyrics, the melody and the guitars. It’s not some key change similarities, it’s blatant.

Y’all really live for these “____ RIPPED THEM OFF” arguments whenever these lawsuits come up huh. But when it was Madonna accusing Gaga, you all rushed to Gaga’s defense. Not at all saying BTW is a rip off, but Madonna definitely had more to cite in her criticism than these guys do for Dua. It’s just hypocritical.

you might need to see an ear doctor cus how can you be this confidently wrong? :air:

mother, what must i do?

SHALLOW

This song is such a bop but it's kinda cursed at this point :huntyga:

Also i don't think we should blame Dua. It was probably the producer's fault

My poor Albanian baby!I know she has the best lawyers out there!A name like hers should be defend hard

What's should be done is paying this band to avoid them to go through a long trial.

She wasn't necessarily aware of the borrowing but now she knows what's right to do.

Madonna herself only talked about the chord progression being similar. Here it goes way further since it's the melody being basically the same at points among other things.

There's a reason if folks defended Gaga but would defend this band here.
