Oh dear, I heard the "other" song and the choruses do sound very similar. :green:

You are not an MPG if you haven't been sued for Copyright or at least accused of stealing cords.

Glad to see she is that big.

She almost certainly will because this is not at all an uncommon melody. This is a pretty general and basic melody construction and elements of it have been found in popular music for decades. There are even elements of it in instrumental music dating back even further than that. This is not an original melody, and it wasn't original when Artikal Sound System did it either.

There are only so many notes that people have to work with. You're always going to find similarities. More often than not if you put two songs next to each other, you'll find at least surface level similarities. It has been that way for ages and it isn't going to change. All this is is a clout and money chasing lawsuit. Levitating is almost two years old, and it's not even at it's peak anymore. Why wait until now to file a lawsuit if you really cared so deeply?

Dua will no question win this case

it's the same chord structure, but even the way the bassline is built in "Levitating" is very different than "Live Your LIfe".

This would be equatable to Madonna suing Gaga saying "Btw" is a carbon copy of "Express Yourself", which, BTW is not.

Honestly, this bloodsucking is more...what did madge say...?

...reductive...than anything Dua's done. Let people live their lives. Music is cyclical. They did not invent this chord progression.

That is a clear example of copyright infringement. Not only the chords, but also the lyrics is almost the same.

I love Dua Lipa but she needs more than luck to win this case.
