Ik she cries a lot so maybe it's not a big deal, but she did look somehow sad and off tonight (compared to HoG press tour).

I really hope she is doing well and I'm overreacting

No one else mentioned she was crying. IDK, I low key feel like this is just film twitter trying to drag her yet again (I don't trust them). And if she was sincerely upset I think it's a bit sh*tty to tweet/film it, even if she is a public person in a public place, or the tweet could have been worded as "Helen comforting Gaga."

I mean she's an emotional person and it's possible she shed a few tears. But...I also have a hard time buying she like broke down crying/sobbing considering there are a lot of pics of her smiling with Bradley, Selena, etc.

I feel like this might be them trying to pull a "look how upset psychotic Gaga is that she lost, she's sobbing" (then again, maybe I'm reading too much into it but considering how nasty film twitter was towards her...).

It is okay to cry if you are happy, overwhelmed, sad, or disappointed. We don't know why she cried but if it is about not winning, it is normal to be disappointed when you don't win at something you worked hard for. This will only make her stronger in the future and that means more movies from Gaga! :firega:

Also am I the only one who thinks it's a bit icky to film her if she is actually crying (even if she's just shedding a few tears). I get that she's a public person in a public place-and if she had a full on break down I feel like Bobby would have gotten her out of there, so I suspect it was probably more like she shed a couple of tears or the reporter is straight up lying-but still, feels a bit invasive and uncalled for.

We don't know if she did or she did not but invasive and uncalled for photos are the stuff that sells magazines, tabloids, and gets all the clicks. I'm not surprised they did that and put a dramatic caption since this is common practice.

Besides they take a picture of her grocery shopping, buying toilet paper and buying Starbucks etc. :ladyhaha:

I don't think the paparazzi will ever not take pictures of people in an award show. The more drama the better.

True, but it's a reporter from Vanity Fair taking the video and not a pap. I would expect better from them...it's hardly E!, US Weekly, or a pap.

Maybe she’s sad about what happens in our cruel world at this very moment? She is an empath and cares about the world…

In any case we know she's a well grounded and thoughtful human being. She's allowed to feel her emotions.

Working so hard on a project she believed in, doing something she's always wanted to do, being snubbed for recognition twice, meeting someone she may look up to (I'm not sure if she's mentioned Helen before or not), along with the general state of the world outside her career...I mean, she's allowed to feel a bit overwhelmed if that is what this is

Yeah I guess it could be a mix of all of this… and it’s absolutely valid

Helens body language isn't that of a woman comforting an upset person, especially at the end.

I mean, it's film twitter so it's perfectly possible it's completely made up, exaggerated (which is probably the case), or a genuine misunderstanding. Even some of the film journalists-not just randos- have been weird this season towards Gaga. They pick a target every year, be it Rami or Anne, and this year it was Gaga. It's perfectly possible she wasn't crying at all (or she might have shed a tear or two versus full on crying). If she was full on sobbing to the point she had to be comforted, I suspect Bobby would have whisked her out of there.

*I remember when some were convinced Gaga was deeply upset over Glenn winning back in the ASIB days-even though Glenn is friends with Cynthia and Gaga clearly loves her-and that was back when film twitter liked her.

She's like me, I cry over EVERYTHING. I get so sad over things that have nothing to do with me or my life, I hope she feels better

Humm it seems she’s hugging her and being overwhelmed by meeting the queen. Probably thought she was still recovering from COVID. Girl was relieved

the queen then says cmon now pumpkin pie pull yourself together. That’s it they’re watching you, you don’t wanna look like a mess
