He’s still a piece of **** slave owner. This is just PR. Anytime someone rich or powerful does something really good I always suspect at least part of the motive is a PR and an image thing especially the celebs that always have to advertize and announce their good deeds .  But major events sometimes can also move otherwise relatively cold people. Rich or not they are still human with emotions and capable of feeling empathy if they want to (provided they arent a total phychopath that literally cannot feel even a hint of it)  I suspect his motives may be split between genuine and corrupt ones at the same time as is probably often the case with high profile people  He may genuinely feel good about being helpful while simultaneously also looking forward to the positive PR this will give him  I cant read his mind or heart but I choose to give some benefit of the doubt that PR isnt 100% the only reason even if its a lot of it

There's that, but I think the main reason is it inflates his ego. Not even his public image, but the way he sees himself. He must think he's a hero for that. Meanwhile he runs his company on slave labour from the third world and hoards wealth he could use to save the world. It IS a good action, and maybe it came from his heart, but like... that's pocket change for him. Sure it's a big impact, but it's the equivalent of me giving 10$ to a homeless person in terms of wealth. When you're that grossly rich, we shouldn't be seeing one good action every month from you. First of all you shouldn't be that rich to begin with, but that's another topic lol. You should be giving away tons to even pretend to be helping. I'm rambling but my point is this is minimal effort for him & it doesn't cancel out the atrocities he built his fortune on top of. This is the least he can do to convince himself he's a good person despite it all. Also, it's very telling that he only comes out to give back the one time it's about Europe. The third world is struggling daily and he's never done ****. Even if this was genuinely done with good intentions, all I'm getting from this is that his sympathy only applies to white people lol
berlinforme 5,385
That doesn't help the regular people/refugees though, as they still need special receivers. Keep that in mind before praising him for saving Ukraine. But it's good for the government infrastructure and organisation.
