We should suffer to realize just how much harm he creates to the world.

Anyone know anything about iMessage? I was trying to text someone in Russia as a back up and it didn’t go through as an iMessage. Wonder if something happened with Apple to prevent that?

iMessage need internet connection. Without it, it will only sent as text message. (aka the much ridiculed green bubble), Which is different to iMessage.

I don't know what to believe but this seems to be good news.

Mom and son crying on video call.

Thank you for sharing this. I've seen far too much of a willingness of people (not necessarily here, but online and out in the world in general) to take their anger for Putin out on all who represent Russia. Yes, I don't doubt that there are Russian soldiers who believe in what they're fighting for, but we've seen so, so, so many videos from the last two weeks that show just how many of these soldiers don't want to be doing this. Do not forget that Russia is a mandatory conscription country, many of these young men don't have a choice but to be fighting in this war. Don't lose sight of who the real villain is here.

Edit: As I've thought more on it, I do want to clarify:

I don't intend this to mean that we should sympathize with Russian soldiers more, or even equally to the Ukrainians. In the end, they are the ones who're being invaded, the Russians are the invaders. I don't think a Russian soldier should be unquestionably trusted simply for expressing regret. But I do think it is worth keeping in mind that many of them don't want this and have shown as much by other surrendering or deserting all together. There's room to show compassion to those who deserve it and those who have had to do something as part of a situation we might not ever understand.

Support Ukrainians, support their effort, support their cause. But also be weary of generalizing all of the other side as one thing, a slippery slope that can prove to be dangerous in and of itself.

Very sad for the soldiers who don't want to fight Ukraine.  Putin is indeed the real villain.
