They might be crashing and burning right now I would like to correct that Chechnya is part of Russia, so Putin does not need to ask them for help. They are part of the Russian army. But I don't see the possibility that Putin will send them to Ukraine, as the Russian government and the President of Chechnya have been in a tense relationship for the last weeks. The Ukrainian says that if they want to live, they should drop their gear and come to his house with raised arms. He will then lock them in a barn and will wait for the Ukrainian military to pick them up. If they do anything funny, he will shoot them. They are a republic inside Russia that wants independence and fight with Ukraine against Russia.
