Anderson123 35,605 Posted February 19, 2022 Share Posted February 19, 2022 This show is coming out with 1 episode per week instead of the whole season at one time so that's one reason to see it trend a lot. Honestly the writing, acting, aesthetics, etc. everything is really good. I remember watching this way back in 2019 so when the pandemic postponed shooting for Season 2 I knew this would get delayed a lot. It's been almost 3 years and it was time for us fans to see what would happen lol. I'm just glad there's a 3rd season and hope they end it in time. I just don't like it I guess i kinda see where ur coming from... i think its pretty solid and funny at times but i agree on how u said like most high schools irl aren't really like what's displayed on the show imo, at least the few ive been too. yea, there's like a few kids who got the addiction stuff, a few pregnant people, abuse and the body issues part is relatable but most people in high school stressed studying, doing clubs or extracurriculars, and sports and just trying to get quickly get their certificate and get out of there, i feel like the sex and drugs is very a side thing, not like a main thing the show tries to portray. i tried explaining this to a few friends but they don't really get it. i think they just look past that part most likely. TimisaMonster 31,073 Posted February 19, 2022 Share Posted February 19, 2022 1) Zendaya REALLY showcases her incredible acting skills and isn't afraid to do a character that looks extremely difficult to play, most of the time isn't pretty, and an emotional wreck. 2) It speaks to a lot of people who either have drug issues, know someone who does, or simply weren't aware that an opioid epidemic is currently going on right now in our country too...not just COVID. 3) A high school teen having such a REALISTIC experience with drug abuse has never really been portrayed like this before and it's educational yet also a warning for many who think drugs are so cool and not that dangerous Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!
