If anything it contradicts get recent statement about not caring about being #1. Clearly numbers mean a lot more to her than the actual music speaking for itself. Imagine Gaga releasing Stupid Love with a video and everything and then saying...oops...it didn't hit #1...ROM is the real lead single

If nicki truly cared about a number one she would’ve released a pop single from the beginning. She knows that’s what will smash but she didn’t. I think she focuses more on her craft and the type of music that she actually listens to and admires. Which is ok.

Haven’t you been reading her tweets? I’ve never seen anyone rant about charts like she does. She clearly cares about them lol

Are you delusional or just pretended to be blind of the facts? Because, chile...

If she didn't care about number one, she won't have that messy rants on radio show that ran for few episodes because her Queen album didn't reach #1 and she felt petty and calling put everyone who she thought was enemy. :lmao:

Focuses in her craft you said? :billie: She jumped at the latest opportunity to get #1 with all those dozens of mediocre collabs, which many of them went nowhere, fam. She definitely care more about charts than you think of. :lmao:

You pop gays love to disrespect Pinkprint way too much just because you only like pop Nicki

The way I’m more of a rock gay than anything :triggered:

but pinkprint is half her best album half her worst. Her first two albums were just more consistent/coherent

Well, in all honesty she hasn't done pop because pop fell off. The pop angle worked for her first two albums because the top 40 landscape was dominated by it. She switched up when the charts did, thus why we got the pinkprint. So her releasing a song with Lil Baby, Megan, 6ix9ine, etc. Yikes and Fractions. These were all viable ways for her to reach for the top spot in a hip-hop and female rap saturated market.

It was consistent with its club bops/anthems and then had her electronic rap songs with like 1-2 random things thrown in (fire burns and Marilyn Monroe)

It was half "hip-hop" records and half "pop records". Its inherently inconsistent. Starts out with Roman Holiday?... all over the place. Its a display of different directions she wanted to go in and didn't want to displease any one demographic and ultimately displeased most lol

songs like yikes and fractions dont go number one. and traditional pop was still domination during the pinkprint era. and doja is doing extremely well leaning into the pop side. i think nicki can do it again its just a matter of if she wants to
