She surely talks too much about charts for the "I don't need to be 1" to be real. She's fuming as usual. Next week drop will make history once again?

I love Nicki probably more than anybody else on this site which isn't saying much as she has become quite polarizing if not outright panned and for valid reasoning, but her dependency upon and sensitivity in relation to her Billboard charting positions has gotten quite reductive and sad to see. She's so used to the "Nicki hate train" narrative it's like it's all she knows to look for and convey to her fans. She should be celebrating her accomplishment at a #2 debut with what I considered to be a very lackluster and boring song after an almost 2-3 year hiatus from solo work and post-childbirth something which has often both plagued and derailed most established female rappers' careers. Add in her brother, husband, harassment of his victim, unnecessary feud with Cardi and most recent asinine vaccine claims, I am surprised Nicki is still popping the way she once was and she should be celebrating. I really hope someday soon she can find peace with her own belief and appreciation for her work and craft and leave behind this immature insecure necessity for approval and recognition from the mainstream music machine. The contention was cute when it was relevant and productive and drew valid criticism and concern for the treatment of black female musicians but now it along with lackluster music is just a tarnish on her impeccable legacy and it's really sad to see. I love Nicki and always will because of what she represented to me as a young child but behavior is borderline desperate and entitled and I can't stand to see or tolerate it, especially if the music accompanying it isn't very good.
