Right-wing media elites use Adele to stir up Transphobia

The right-wing media elites of the United States are currently running a smear story against Adele and the Transgender community, claiming that the transgender community is "cancelling" Adele, over her BRIT Awards acceptance speeche, where she said she "loved being a woman".

However... nobody is cancelling Adele. The only tweet that relates to her speech from a transgender user on Twitter was a sarcastic joke made in support of Adele however. The New York Post first ran this false story, supported by two unsubstantiated tweets. Quickly, other right-wing media outlets have picked this story up and now currently blowing it up.

Fox News is now reporting on it, Joe Rogan is parroting the false story on the newest episode of his podcast on Spotify as well.

Disgusting. I HATE this so much. It's so often there is like ONE person "mad" about something and suddenly they claim anyone not a right wing freak is sh*tting themselves and crying bc one person didn't hold the door open. The propaganda is too much

i did read a lot of questionable comments calling her speech terfy i just don't know much about the context i actually had to google that term.

But i guess with a few comments they try to blow this out of proportion to further push their agenda

Why is Adele literally being dragged into and over everything these days? And also, this is horrible for the transgander community, I can’t believe the lenghts some people would go to push their hate agenda.

Pop culture.

When a popstar reaches her peak, they decide to drag her down. Britney post-The Zone, Taylor Swift post-1989, and Gaga twice post-BTW and now post-ASIB :bradley:

she's not being dragged for this lol, right-wingers are clinging to a supposed dragging few to zero people made to ridicule trans and non-binary people and how they are mad at everything

It all started with this tweet, and while it isn't widespread I think this is a GREAT example about how LGBTQ+ community members and allies can cause a total sh*tstorm with their exaggerated comments online. Right wing media may be fanning the flames but the fire was started by a match from our own community :awkney:

I mean... yeah. This is believable, that's the problem.

Social media is too much drama now. People exaggerate and instigate anything and everything to get a reaction out of someone. Anthills get turned into mountains all for nothing. I don't think Adele had any bad intentions when she did that. I can understand how it can be misconstrued into anti trans rhetoric but I give her the benefit of the doubt.

I mean sadly we'll always have some idiotic tweets just like among every community...

If the right-wing dig on Twitter super hard to find the nano flame each time they're sure to find it. Making it appears like a big fire is the real problem. :/

This ties in with the "post-woke" thread.

People like this are why we have people like Rogan.

Nope. People like Joe Rogan are why we have people like Joe Rogan. It is not the fault of the LGBTQIA+ community in any shape or form that right wing lunatics exist. One stupid tweet doesn't take the blame for that.

So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

You dont understand. That's fine.

Outrageous actions cause outrageous reactions. One extreme leads to the opposite side having the extreme response.

For example... being an outraged sjw LOOKING for reasons to be butthurt when you're literally doing ski slope slalom mixed with gymnastics... is going to cause an equally twisted response from the other side.

Something about relativity, but who knows? It's not like one of the greatest minds of all time said it....
