Supersonic 49,376 Posted February 11, 2022 Share Posted February 11, 2022 The right-wing media elites of the United States are currently running a smear story against Adele and the Transgender community, claiming that the transgender community is "cancelling" Adele, over her BRIT Awards acceptance speeche, where she said she "loved being a woman". However... nobody is cancelling Adele. The only tweet that relates to her speech from a transgender user on Twitter was a sarcastic joke made in support of Adele however. The New York Post first ran this false story, supported by two unsubstantiated tweets. Quickly, other right-wing media outlets have picked this story up and now currently blowing it up. People exaggerate and instigate anything and everything to get a reaction out of someone. Anthills get turned into mountains all for nothing. I don't think Adele had any bad intentions when she did that. I can understand how it can be misconstrued into anti trans rhetoric but I give her the benefit of the doubt.
