No I'm not a "hater" I'm simply stating an opinion on something. I don't hate her, I just don't think she should be on the cover of an influential magazine when there are plenty of other women who haven't even had one cover yet. Also, Paris Hilton was the original influencer/socialite, Kim K simply just took her place.

You don't think one of the most influential women of our time should be on the cover an influential magazine? And i said kim is the original SOCIAL media influencer cuz she is. Paris was pre social media.

Because my comparison was about their impact on fashion and beauty standards and on how we view celebrity, how public image is formed by celebrities. No one has had an impact like Marilyn on beauty and the body until Kim came along. I think my point was clear in that aspect? It's obvious their backgrounds are different but you don't think their impact is the same? Then mention Twiggy in the 60s and the androgynous skinny body trend it created, the London mod look. Mention other celebs too, why Marilyn? It's always Marilyn and Kim in the same sentence. Makes zero sense. Yes Kim created a new body trend, it's undeniable. But her impact is not the same as Marilyn, it's not because Marilyn impacted the world of cinema and art. Kim has impacted the world of influencers and social media a great deal, as well as fashion (fast fashion mostly, fashion nova, pretty little thing, reality tv stars copying her looks). Keep her on the cover of US Weekly or Star magazine, not a prestigious fashion one.

One who was even more visible than Rose and also popularized it a damn lot around the same time is Nicki Minaj. I think she was more one the poster child of the trend than really its creator. 3 hours ago, RenegAde said:
Daily 191
Stop putting negative labels to everything and everyone. Just because you don't like something or someone does not mean it's bad. Thoughts On HAIR: A hair style, that does not imitate natural hair texture, it's not offensive. You either get offended for all people dying and straightening/curling their hair or you don't, because nitpicking who gets to do this or that with a hair style that one not born with is illogical. CLOTHES: Native/indigenous people are the OGs and their aesthetic(s) should always be recognized and given the credit when used as inspiration. Clothes that have a deep religious meaning for a certain group should mostly be left out and kept as religious garmets. PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: Skin comes in different shades not all POC nor white people share the same shade. And POC can get lighter by not exposing to the sun and white people can get darker by exposing to the sun. Since WWI plastic/corrective surgery has become a tool to improve the quality of life of people by modifying their exterior and later on people of all races have used it for decades to change their looks. With all of this being said, people obviously can't change nor pass to what race they belong to, mostly for 1 reason: GOOGLE exists. Blackfishing is impossible to achieve for celebrities because everyone knows who they are and if not they can simply google them. Darker skin or ligther skin does not mean you're trying to be a POC nor a white person. Mixed race people exits. As long as people don't try to imitate natural hair texture or a facial feature or try to use indigenous/native people or religious clothing, we're good. ❤️ P.S. I love you and respect you even if we don't agree.
