Even with the big environmental concerns aside NFTs by design are a scam. It's presented that you're buying "the original" digital copy of an artwork but in reality you're buying a link that looks like a piece of art you'll never have ownership over. It's like those 'buy a star' things, you're not buying the star but a piece of paper that says you do when you don't.

That woman is constantly on the receiving end of all kinds of crap, even when she's doing nothing wrong. If we're going to dump on NFT celebs let's just dump on all of them, alright? Exactly. Just the other day, she was being attacked because she posted a photo pretending to lick her food
Arcadia 1,366
Fragile people doing the most as usual and telling people how to live their lives. Currently, NFTs are bad for the environment due to how much processing power computers and servers need in order to use the blockchain. Ethereum, the leading choice in crypto to buy or sell NFTs, is the culprit. This is due to them using a proof of work system. There are others such as Polygon (Magic) who use a proof of stake system which uses less energy. Ethereum has sadly yet to transition to that system. You can read more about it here: https://www.theverge.com/2021/3/15/22328203/nft-cryptoart-ethereum-blockchain-climate-change This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare. Arcadia 1,366
And no, NFT’s are not bad for the environment. What is bad is the energy that they use so moving to removable energies would solve the issue, like many mining machines ALREADY do. But keep shooting at the sun.. Ployd 856
I don't think shaming people for buying NFTs is the right approach, making fun of them for their stupidity in investing in a scam however seems like the better option
