Sometimes I come back to this forum to give it another chance and then I see threads like this.

Biased twitter user using iffy source = America is dying, Burn the democrats to the ground, Joe Biden is evil.

You gotta put your critical thinking caps on for once in your life.

Its the same with Gaga news too. :madge:

How reliable is the Daily Poster? I haven't seen this posted on any well known sites.

Edit: Yeah...this guys twitter feed is suspect. I'll choose not to believe this without reporting from other reputable sources.

It's amazing how many people do not question a site nobody has heard of and its bias. Do just 5 seconds of research, and you will find that the Daily Poster is an extremely biased progressive left site.

Founded in 2020 by David Sirota, The Daily Poster is a progressive news and opinion website and daily newsletter. David Sirota is a journalist who is the current editor at Jacobin, an author, a columnist for the Guardian, and a former speechwriter for the Bernie Sanders 2020 presidential campaign. The website primarily covers politics from a progressive left perspective.

In review, The Daily Poster publishes political news and opinions from a progressive left perspective. Many articles are written by David Sirota as well as other contributing writers. Articles and headlines often contain moderately loaded language such as this Lawmakers Unify To Give Corporate Donors A License To Kill You. This story is properly sourced to credible media outlets such as Politico and Reuters. All articles are original journalism.

Editorially, The Daily Poster aligns with the left. They frequently publish articles critical of conservatives such as this Trump Holds Coup Meeting With DeVos-Funded Lawmakers. Although they are supportive of the Democratic Party they are often critical of the corporate establishment Democrats such as this The Beltway Left Is Normalizing Corruption And Corporatism. When it comes to positions they promote climate change action, civil rights, single-payer healthcare, and worker’s rights. In general, the information presented on The Daily Poster is factual and editorially aligns with the progressive left (Democratic Socialism).

I don't know enough about the legality of this to comment, but I'm sure it's more than "Biden evil." And the fact that only 2 other sites pop up (one of them another very biased website) makes it hard to fact check this article.

Radicalization efforts are not just coming from the right but from the left and people need to be a lot smarter about the news they consume.

I completely agree. I've lost hope of people using any sort of critical thinking skills. Everyone is just ready to have their pitchfork out 24/7.

It's pretty easy to spot the difference. Only one is anti-vax, anti-choice, anti-BLM, pro-seggregation, anti-voting rights, anti-LGBT, antisemitic, anti-education, and pro-whitewashing all while flying confederate and literal Nazi flags, brandishing guns and white supremacy colors, enlisting skinheads, and trying to overthrow American democracy with both overt and violent insurrection and subversive legislation to limit the power of Americans' votes all while fueled with a massive disinformation campaign that's winning over the weak and neglected minds in every red and purple state.

Or sh*t, just look at this picture and tell me they're the same :air:

The Democratic party's establishment players are embarrassing as hell, ineffective, have their priorities out of order, and running on the outdated idea that unity can ever happen with the right (because it can't, idc how many GOP buddies Biden had 40 years ago) but you CAN NOT equate the Democrats to the Republicans in any way, shape, or form and I'm honestly tired of seeing people try :messga:

Give me embarrassing ass Biden over ANY Repugnant. Any day. And pray these boomers retire soon to make room for younger, more progressive powerhouses to come through and represent what most Americans actually support.

Democrats are honestly just as **** in many aspects. It doesn't matter how pro anything or anti anything you are. If you can't make it work or deliver on even one of your promises then what are you doing as the president? Mind you, republicans are not that great either. Going far left or right won't create any balance.

Do you know why the right is so successful at mobilizing and executing on their agenda? Because it is completely singular: cling to power and disenfranchise anyone who would threaten it.

Do you know that the Executive branch doesn't pass laws? And that for Biden's agenda to move forward congress needs to pass it? And do you know why the left struggles to do that? Because they don't actually have a majority in congress and within the party are diverse factions and different goals. They are not unified under the banner of "keep power at all costs" and their process, as we can all clearly see, is messy.

Please for the love of god understand that the left is an unfortunate mess and the right is anti democracy.

And btw... democracy was not supposed to be easy. The government is literally designed to make it hard to pass laws so that they require as much broad support as possible.

So what's your point? Like I said, both parties are ****. It doesn't matter what either of them are or what they support. They can't function properly for one reason or another, they can't collaborate and they can't make the country safer for anyone. All they do is feeding an endless frenzy of tug of war. It's always the us vs them mentality, America needs actual progressives and a party who is willing to work with both sides.

My main point is what does it matter what either support if they can't make lives better for everybody? This isn't about which ideology is better. This is about the incompetens of both parties, what's so difficult to understand?

Um, it is actually. You are talking about ideology. "Democrats are honestly just as **** in many aspects...Mind you, republicans are not that great either...Going far left or right won't create any balance."

These are your words. Do you not stand by them? And btw it sounds like you support centrism not progressivism.

I understand your words perfectly it doesn't seem like you do though? Btw I do believe the US should evolve beyond the 2 party system but I don't see that happening.
