Feb. 2 is Groundhog Day.  Consider watching the great comedy movie about the day.  One of my favorite movies.  I watch it every Feb. 2.  Here is a trailer:

I grew up 1.5 hours from Punxsutawney and can vouch for the accuracy of several things in the movie.  The drive from Pittsburgh to Punxsutawney at the start of the movie is real.  The look of the town and the ceremony on groundhog day is how it actually is.   The movie is so well done and is so much fun.

I doubt that would happen, but the basic premise has been re-used a lot. Then again, I'm not totally sure it originated with Groundhog Day. But, nowadays, it's almost like a genre, and G.D. is always the reference point. (Recent examples: Palm Springs, Happy Death Day...)

There's a 2021 movie called Christmas Again based on that theme.  I haven't seen it yet.

You got me thinking about an old Twilight Zone episode from 1959:

This list contains 5 movies before Groundhog Day and many afterward.
