Well, that is tough then. I would recommend letting go of that burden as much as you can… quite often people die of their own negligence. You did say before to “go die elsewhere” and “not burden you with it”… unless you’re seeing them die in front of you, it should be alright!

Yes, if they die from the virus then they don't burden the world with their foolishness. Survival of the fittest, right?

Just like how people’s choices regarding vaccines isn’t your issue. :river:

that is not true and you know it. the pandemic will last forever as the virus keeps on mutating thanks to anti-vaxxers who'd rather compromise everyone else's health and safety just to stand behind their biased opinions instead of listening to healthcare professionals. :iamfair:

There is something the lot of you still don’t understand: It’s not about us as INDIVIDUALS, but as a WHOLE.

Just because I’m vaxxed doesn’t mean I can’t catch the virus and it doesn’t mean I can’t spread it. That’s why the mask mandate and the vax mandate are there, to get everyone over the finish line so we can be done with this mess.

I got vaxxed not only to protect myself, but others around me. If I catch corona, I can pass it to someone vaxxed, and they’ll be fine, what if they pass it to an unvaxxed immune-compromised family member? That’s not good.

That’s why we’re trying to stop situations like that from happening. Because normal people don’t want others to die over something that is completely preventable.

So we’re probably going to have these mandates forever, seeing as there will always be a group of people who refuse to take the V. I don’t think everyone is going to get over the finish line (I’ve been double Vaxxed, by the way).
But I definitely understand it’s not just about the individual… that’s why I always wear my mask, sanitise my hands and be mindful to not cough and splutter around others. :vegas:

For sure. I wonder if you’d apply that same approach of refusing hospital care, to people who are obese/get alcohol poisoning/end up with conditions that were impacted by their choices?

Indeed I do. Not. My. Problem. Are you so dense that you have not figured this to be the case?

Aaaaahhhh. :lolga: I figured it out. I was just curious why you were so affected by people who aren’t vaccinated in the hospital… seeing as (you said it yourself) - not. your. problem.

Right, right. Sure it’s very contagious and it can be deadly… but the majority of people have survived Covid. My condolences go to anyone who has had people close to them die.
Also, WHO classes obesity as an epidemic. Definitely a public health issue.

Good for you, you want a plaque or something?

I care for those who genuinely need healthcare because of things that are beyond their control, not morons who knowingly put themselves at risk. You don't wanna get the vaccine, fine. But you also shouldn't go crying to the hospitals to save your a** from death because you had the chance to avoid it.

If people keep smoking and get lung cancer as a result, should we refuse to give them care as well?

Lung cancer patients aren’t filling up hospitals and forcing medical triage.

The responses in this thread are gross.

Stop equating the right to abortion as healthcare with refusing a life-saving vaccine. It's incredibly disrespectful to co-opt "pro-choice" and "my body my choice" regarding vaccines. You are watering down decades of activism for women's rights.

And stop equating hospital care for unvaxxed covid patients to cancer or any other health condition. Until there's a hugely effective vaccine for those things, it's not the same.
