Suspiria 10,683
Her weakest era visually by miles. But I suppose it is just a mixtape rather than a major album.

Indeed, but may I ask what a mixtape exactly is? whats the difference with a normal album? Because Caprisongs feels like a whole ass album, no? Is thedifference that it isnt treated like an album from a marketing point of view, or…?

Agreed, but it's still really good, which makes me happy cause if she can still deliver such good work at her 'weakest' then she's gonna grew into one hell of an artist (and she's already an excellent artist obviously) Also yeah she's definitely not being as serious with this era as she was with her previous ones. You can tell that she wants it to be lighter and not as heavy. Soft, soothing, and succulent

From my very limited understanding (literally all I know about this is what Charli XCX has said lmao), by calling it a mixtape rather than an album, the label will expect it to make less money and therefore invest less money into promoting it and scrutinise it less, which makes it easier for the artist to release the music they want. Basically I think it becomes less of a big contractual label release and more of a passion project (but I'm not sure).

Elohim 1,739
she said that these music videos are ANTI videos which are just cute visuals she made for every song on the mixtape, so obviously its not gonna be a huge budget with bombastic visuals.. Also I love the mixtape, its on repeat since rhe day it came out, i love it! Its so refreshing and fun!
