Ah that makes sense then, they just released it on Disney+ a couple of days ago. I have a 2 year old niece and my brother says all she's watching right now is Encanto so parents and kids are most likely playing the soundtrack on loop.

i was pretty shocked it debuted all the way at #197 and has been knocking around in the 160s for most of the time it was in theaters. then it’s on disney + and it shoots to top ten then likely number one. guess it goes to show what a force streaming is
