There’s no valid reason to believe that she won’t be nominated. So far she has been nominated for every single major Oscars precursor. And has won an acting trifecta—something not even Kristen Stewart has managed to do this season.

true she's won one of the acting trifecta's but NY critics have failed to award an actress in the last few years who have gone on to be nominated at the oscars which could be a possible warning signal. Also the competition is super tough this year and with Gucci not being an overall great and well-received film as the other BA contenders could also lessen Gaga's chances.

the actresses I think are going to get nominated are: 

Kristen Stewart, Olivia Colman (nomination locked)

Nicole Kidman, Jessica Chastain (second in line)

Gaga, Alana Haim, Penelope Cruz (one of them are taking that last spot, I just don't know who yet)

Sidney Flanigan and Regina Hall were in indie films that no one really cared about, literally the opposite of Gaga, who is leading the biggest drama of 2021. Lupita was in a horror movie and we all know how the Oscars feel about those. Apart from these three, literally every single winner in recent years has been nominated at the Oscars.
 

While the movie might be getting mixed reviews, her performance has been unanimously praised by even her harshest critics (Anne Thompson cough cough)

As for now, I think Gaga is still fighting for the nomination. During ASIB, she easily locked a nom and was aiming for the award all along until the Globe did her dirty. As for this year, I don't think she has a great chance against Kristen Stewart. Mostly due to the terrible script, confusing editing, tasteless music score, and Ridley's effortless direction. 

But again, the Globe and SAG could really make a difference like 2019. If Gaga gets a SAG nom then I think she'll secure a nomination spot. If she manage to win the Globe (though very unlikely), she could regain momentum and challenge Kristen.

Industry source says that Rachel Zegler also has a huge support. I think Gaga is still currently ahead of all of them for the 5th spot. Out of these four actresses, Gaga and Cruz are the two that won Trifecta while Cruz missed Globe and CC. I'll say SAG nom is a deciding factor, whoever makes it will get the Oscar nom.

Glenn lost in a tight battle to Colman, and Sophia was not on the Oscar race last year but she's the greatest Italian actress of all time. But should we be concerned that THR removed Gaga from actress nomination prediction though? Gaga was solidly in top 5 for weeks but suddenly got moved to 7th in the latest update.

It’s definitely gonna be Chastain, Gaga, Kidman, Colman, and Stewart if not swapping Kidman for Haim. It would be iconic to have Kidman, Gaga, and Chastain all nominated as best actress with them all playing biographical roles (Lucy, Patrizia, and Tammy)

Latest betting for BA on the oddschecker website shows that Kristen remains a very strong favourite. Gaga is marginally second favourite, but really, outside of Kristen, you could throw a net over them.

It's worth noting that there are a couple of major firms who are out of line on Kristen and Jessica, i.e. longer than the norm on Kristen and shorter on Jessica, which would suggest that someone somewhere has bet some of their hard-earned cash on Jessica.

I would think Gaga is highly likely to be nominated. She is not a 100% lock for a nomination, but she is a 100% lock to elevate the whole night if she DOES get a nomination. Leaving her on the bench would be foolish.
