As an MJ stan, I'm imagining him doing remixes of Billie Jean, Thriller, Smooth Criminal, etc and just...

Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance, Alejandro, Born This Way, etc those songs don't need new arrangements imo. They're pristine the way they are.

OT: She stands around a lot  and the encore is just her singing in a hole  she strains to hut a few notes too  she also just stops singing a lot  I dislike the background vocals on a few songs, especially Chained to the Rhythm

But those are my only criticisms, the rest of the show looks great  I love that she doesn't take herself that seriously. It's just a show to go have fun at which is needed for a lot of people atm.

It's a niche that only Katy fills too. Gaga's shows are definitely more my style (grungier, darker, more rock themed, lots of screaming, just pure grit in a lot of places) but I wouldn't be above seeing miss Katy if she has a show near Gaga's

I find it boring and artistically uninspiring.  To me, the fact she never gives us new versions of her classics says that she doesn't actually enjoy performing them. Madonna does this beautifully. Every time she performs an older song, it almost always has a new flare and she never looks bored singing them. And, I love that.

I just shed a tear when I heard "Lost" I love when she plays her old songs - especially with her guitar.

 

And also hearing I kissed a girl again was magical after such a long time. Everything started with that song

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the originals as well, but it's been 10 years... It's just a way of keeping things fresh, interesting and coherent with her newest sounds, her albums being so different from one another. I'd love for the old hits to get the Chromatica treatment.

Not even talking about the fact that the whole concept is cringe af (its campy in all the worst ways imo)

I 100% agree. I’m not shading artists who do want to change up their songs, remixes can be really fun at concerts, but I prefer hearing them the way I know and love them. I think acoustic versions are sometimes a nice change (I adore TEOG on piano), but why play a remix of Poker Face when fans love the original? I’m a big fan of Elton John, Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, etc. and there’s no thrill like hearing a classic song you’ve loved for years in concert, I’d be so bummed if Elton played some totally new arrangement for Bennie and the Jets when the original is such a classic.
