I’ve said it before, but my god this thread is a mess :laughga:.

All Billie said was that she loves these two clearly influential artists, how has is turned into this?

Because they HATE to see a young, kind, talented, gorgeous young woman like Billie be both successful and acclaimed.

i'm hoping that user was actually near the 10 point limit instead of being outright banned like that cus... that's kinda scary bro :wtf:

It doesn't always need 10 points, mods and admin can ban anyone who are seen as trolls, homophobic, posting pr0n materials, scamming users out of their money, spewing covid misinformation/anti vaxx rhetorics, starting a coup or in any way disturbing the forum's condusiveness, among others.

i never trashed any artist commenting on their looks or talents, the things that you quoted were opinions in topics of opinions that i find interesting, it's not like i'm entering threads of their fans talking about their favourite things about them and leaving my out of place opinions there, and it's not only women, you just single outed women, but i've expressed negative opinions about men too like ed sheeran, bad bunny, shawn mendez etc plus here everyone discusses women more often.  Yes i like seeing interesting topics about artist that i'm not fan of and giving my perspectives, i guess not everyone welcomes it and that's ok

I validate your opinion. I mean, after all this is a discussion forum. If you like rock, then you would rather be clicking on rock bands, but here we have mostly pop artists.

It's kinda like me loving hip-hop and electronic music a lot more than pop music. I know these days hip-hop as very popular, but I started following artists long before they became popular. Examples are Drake, The Weeknd and Travis Scott (which I loved before they got albums out). I would rather click on topics about them and other hip-hop artists these days outside of Nicki, Lil Nas X and Cardi B. But it is what it is. I see GagaDaily as a music forum in general, specially pop, and also celebrity statuses. Specially when Gaga is absent from music releases. There should be room for us too.

thank you very much, people here is sometimes too defensive and rough with people with different opinions, you don't have to agree to treat people with some kindness and respect, nor reduce everyone as a hater right away, sometimes they take criticism negative opinions about this big pop celebrities and artists so personally, it's like there's no space for outsiders, i personally don't like hip-hop and rap so much, but i have a huge respect for the genre outside what's on the mainstream right now, i'm more of a extreme metal fan, but besides that i also love industrial and electronic bands like skinny puppy, hocico, kraftwerk, front line assembly etc, and this type of music is very rarely discussed here unfortunately, after all it's just a pop forum i guess, and in the pop world i have only find akiness in Gaga.

i disagree that being vegan and wearing leather is hypocrite in itself, for example, if you already own leather clothing before, like there's nothing you can do about it, i think there's no point in stopping wearing them if you are vegan, unless you are too worried about what people would think of you or you consider that wearing animal clothing in itself it's offensive, personally i don't think it is as i wouldn't mind if someone not guilty of my murder wears my skin, but that's me, you can have your opinions, now another thing is actively buying leather after you become vegan, even if it's from a vintage shop, i don't know how billie manage this, so i can't judge.
That's what i love the meat dress, besides the act of protest against inequality it was, it also serve to expose hypocritical thinking about veganism, as for sure, the way you present animal clothing impacts the way people perceive, even though essentially it's all the same no matter how bizarre and disgusting or pretty and cool it looks like.

Great point. The meat dress goes way beyond war and politics. At the end of the day no matter who we are, CEO of LVMH or a dictator of a small country, we all have to eat and get dressed. And what we wear says more about us than words can dare say.

I love how certain fans (some, not all fans) react to fair criticism of their fave by trying to rationalize it. Every negative remark of critique is the result of bitternes and jealosy of succes caused by some extraordinary attributes said artist has.. Well, no. Maybe your favorite artist is not perfect and people can point out flaws. Not everybody wil put your fave on a pedestal.

When you come into a positive thread where she's praising artists to "point out her flaws" (which you haven't stopped pointing out for two years now) then the issue is pathological at this point.

Just because Billie praised Marina doesn't meant that everybody coming into this thread needs to praise Billie. Threads about artists praising artists specifically are meant to highight the dynamic existing betwen artists, especially when they are clearly and heavily inspired by others. It's more pathological to be so personally affected reading not so positive comments about your favorite artists - moreso when they are not even insults.

I praised Billie a few times for veganism (my opinion is still that she does admirable things in that regard), and I am also allowed to critique her behaviour and the products that she puts out into the public domain. She is not a baby, and no artist should ever be spared of scrunity regardless of how long they have been in the public eye.

You keep complaining of these  so-called 'tired' Billie haters infiltrating every thread ever.. yet I keep seeing the same Billie fans panicking and coming to her aid. :sharon: If somebody's opinion is invalid because he's a hater, then your opinion as a fan is also invalid.

Taking time to comment about someone or something you like is not the same as taking time hating/criticizing/annoying fans of someone/something.

It’s quite pathetic to come into every single thread about Billie to post some shady comment.

You’ve been doing it for years. You replied to me because the shoe fits and you absolutely know it.

It’s a new year. Stopping this behavior sounds like an excellent resolution.
