Really sad because I'm pretty certain a lot of her "underground" stuff that I love like Dirty Ice Cream, Fancy Pants, etc is by Fusari right? Yes, those are all great little bops, I think the song writing was 50/50 on them Do YOU own the 4' by 6' Perfect Illusion promo Poster? Will pay you for it. Imo, lyrically it's really missing that Gaga flare, like in songs like MTN, EoG, JAD, LoveGame, etc. EDIT: To be clear, by "flare" I guess I mean abstract or "uniqueness" or creative. As impactful as many of the lyrics are, I felt the album overall was too formulated (verse-chorus-verse-chrorus(bridge)chorus(X2) none of the songs had room to breathe with instrumentation or vocal ad libs or anything like that. Hopefully I explained it better honestly, that's just not true, the only songs that are kinda like that are 911, enigma and maybe fun tonight, and yet there are some un usual things and off putting things in the structure and overall construction of the songs. Most songs on chromatica doesn't even have proper choruses, they follow the house and techno dance structures that are crescendos, building ups to beat drops and bridges, and yet they way they are constructed change from song to song which makes them not predictable at first listen, alice, rain on me, free woman, replay, sine from above etc are all constructed this way Mad Architect of Light
butthole 9,789
Chromatica is a wet blanket of an album. The editing in the Perfect Illusion video is incoherent. I really liked most of the Enigma looks. The purple one is gutter bucket though.
enissa11 2,984
that she is a visionary and simply the best pop artist debuted in this century, naming the team of creative people she works with Haus of Gaga like Bahaus and The Factory, and then also giving a name to her fanbase, everything to create a sense of community, they were all smart and genius moves from a genuine visionary that knows history of art and pop music, and not just that but is also a beautiful and caring person. Tyler1992 2,161
Chromatica is her darkest album masked with upbeat sounds. Million Reasons music video intentionally looks like a Hallmark video. Gaga helped provoke her downfall with ARTPOP (an amazing album).
Delulu Rogers 6,961
A lot of ARTPOP's mishaps were a direct result of gaga's decisions She doesn't care at all about chromatica She takes herself too seriously now and has lost that flare that she had pre-joanne
Rahrahbitchson 17,588
Her superbowl show is the best halftime show EVER. You can check it on any youtube video and the comments on them. The praise was/is incredible, the show was out of this world and she sang BTW at SB at TEXAS. Quizás bastaba respirar, sólo respirar, muy lento...💙

ElectricAlley 1,729
I’m glad aura wasn’t the lead single for ARTPOP, it would have absolutely bombed and would have gotten ZERO radio airplay. joanne was a cute idea but the album is too all over the place, and dancing in circles was a weird song to put on an album that was supposed to be a personal album for her family. Chromatica promo shouldn’t have stalled, I believe there were alternatives Gaga’s team could have done and radio interviews or a presence from Gaga would have helped the album have more longevity. House of Gucci was a good movie.

Some of her artistic choices around the time (agreeing to R Kelly, the vomit-despite the intention) were obvs. not going to go well over with the public. She also came across as high/drunk in some interviews and just poorly in others. That said, Troy publicly had a very acrimonious split (professional relationship) with Eve, too, so it's also clear that he was a bad manager (even if Gaga was having difficulties) if things ended badly with two major stars on his watch. I believe it was John Legend (not sure) but some music journalist also tweeted back in the day about Troy having issues with yet another client. And if you look at her touring schedule-insane, compared to the standard tours-when she was having health difficulties at the time...it's clear he saw her as a money machine. And as much as I love Aura and Venus, in terms of the general public-and not hardcore stans-they seem like they would be bad choices for singles compared to stuff like DWUW and Applause. So yeah, I can see people saying that Gaga was partially responsible for her own downfall around ARTPOP....but she also legitimately had serious health/addiction issues, a large part of the entertainment media wanted her to fail (like they do with many successful women, like look at how they turned on JLaw a few years back), and she had some bad people on her team.
