Cleaning up sh*t and watching people die every day is a lot different than reminding people to do their homework. There's literally no way to equate the two.

EDIT: How many teachers died during the pandemic versus nurses?

I didnt say it was the same. I know during pandemic medical staff have seen the greatest increase in stress of any proffesion especially if they worm at a hospital. I merely said i get the frustration

Plus i did call him out that i didnt agree with the comment regardless of understanding the frustration

Also i think ur downplaying stress of a teacher especially when u look at their salary (at least nurses get a MUCH more livable wages). Its a lot more than telling ppl to do their homework.

To be clear, teaching is one of the most important jobs in this country. It's one of the hardest, and one of the most underpaid.

With that said, it has been underpaid for a long time, yes? So those aspiring to be a teacher, I would hope, research the income of a teacher before pursuing that career. Just like aspiring nurses would.

But I don't see, in what world...after all the media coverage and conversations about what nurses have gone through and continue to go through, during the most tragic pandemic of our times, how a teacher can criticize nurses and say "woe is me" compared to nurses during a global pandemic. It's BEYOND tone def. But I suppose I should consider the source.

This is the problem I have with extreme liberals, y'all accuse everyone who dares to be critical of Joe Biden and his embarrassing administration of being Fox News shills :smh: Wake up and smell the roses. If Trump had done something this stupid last Christmas, the thrashings would be coming left and right. But because Saint Joe did it, it's supposed to be a "feel good cozy experience." Give me a break.

an extreme liberal would not be defending biden lmaoooo l, but he’s right y’all sound like some crazy conservatives in here, he invited the nurses they courage said no and y’all all know damn well they were all tested, vaxxed, and boosted, but y’all will still say but the mask the mask a la fox news host.

I'm glad you asked.

We've had to endure extremely unsafe working conditions from day one. In many places, masks are not even required, there is no such thing as social distancing due to class sizes, appropriate equipment to sanitize and disinfect classrooms and other common areas is non-existent. If we, god forbid, to have to be out of work due to covid exposure, we have to often use our own sick time. Then, once we run out, we have to take a leave of absence. If our colleagues are out sick, we have to teach not only our 100+ students, but also cover theirs and ensure their getting the best they can get with one teacher per 100 students. The list goes on and on. But, please. Tell me how bad others have it. :awkney:

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

Thats my point. Besides its not like i only defended him, i called him out too

This site resembles Fox News sometimes it’s really scary. Y’all do realize this is a huge honor and they were probably all excited and proud to do this right? I mean I guess it’s a miracle the medical industry didn’t collapse because 17 nurses did a Christmas carol at the White House.

Honey, you tried, but you didn’t make any points. This is one of the most Democratic sites on the internet :ladyhaha:

I'm glad we agree. I just have 0 tolerance for those that downplay the struggle of medical workers during the pandemic. Like what the actual f*ck :bear:

There are proffessions outside medical field that also got greatly affected...

I wouldnt put it on the same level still, but they get under appreciated and downplayed. I get why ur frustrated especially when its already an underpayed job in the first place
