HuffsAhoy 7,433
Everyone knows Cher's iconic song Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down). But, which version is your favorite? The original folksy 1966 track or the rock infused 1987 track, with backing vocals by non other than Bon Jovi and Michael Bolton. You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love. Rj Barker 3,328
1987 version definitely, rock Cher is my favourite Cher era: You wouldn't know love, emotional fire, heart of stone, whenever you're near, perfection.. they're all timeless and strong. What a queen, I adore her!
NFRatwell 23,290
I think my favorite version is Nancy Sinatra’s, but the original Cher one is the best between these versions.

enissa11 2,984
maybe i'm biased but my favorite is gaga's version of it, honestly it made me look the song differently, the amount of drama and theatrics she conveys is otherworldly Mad Architect of Light

MOT 3,037
I prefer the 87 version. That actually surprises me, but yes, as Nancy's dad once said, I can't deny it. Listened to them one after the other, and I prefer 87. I refuse to not say that Gaga's red jump suit version is better than both of em. And better than Nancy's too. The '87 version was the only version I knew for years and I was shook to learn it wasn't Cher's original It's leaps and bounds better because, imo, you really get a sense of the pain in the lyrics better than the '66 You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love. While technically correct, her version is more similar to Nancy's version....which is not bad at all. All 3 are Queens covering an iconic song You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love. The song was actually written for her by her husband, Sonny, and she released it first, just as an album track. Nancy released it not long after as a single and had a hit with it.
