His appeal and impact remains untouched.

Him adding that she has what he hadn't really makes it sound like he meant she's a superior version of him. You always dismiss folks disliking something about her here as just a bunch of haters ignoring it when they make valid points.

Cameltoe Chariot 15,281
Does anyone ever stop to think about the fact that both Bey and Jay are some of the BLANDEST personalities in music? And comparing Bey to MJ is just... hilarious he had more charisma in one finger than Bey has in her whole body.

If the only thing Michael Jackson had ever released was the paranoid psychodrama of Billie Jean, or the anthemic fervour of Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’, or the fury of They Don’t Care About Us, or the desperation of Earth Song, he would be remembered as a legend. The fact that all of these exist within one person’s career is nothing short of a miracle. The level of talent required to consistently write like that, dance like that, produce like that, perform like that, is simply beyond the majority of other musicians. I know most of us weren’t alive when MJ was releasing music (myself included) but as soon as you begin to take a look at the climate back then, it’s clear that he was the music industry. ‘Billie Jean’ is more or less the reason why Black artists’ videos began to be played on MTV. He broke the Wembley Stadium attendance record. 500 million people tuned in for the premiere of Black or White. His comeback shows sold 750,000 tickets in a couple of hours. Like, he might not be to your tastes, but he was objectively a phenomenon in every sense of the word. The way he carefully manipulated his image, alternately fostering his legendary status and maintaining an intensely-guarded privacy, redefined what ‘celebrity’ could mean. And, as a deeply troubled and flawed human being, he remains an utterly fascinating object of study. First song ever to debut at number 1 in the US. Highest-earning dead celebrity. Most-viewed Wikipedia page for a musician. Thriller alone was number 1 for 37 weeks and contains what almost everybody has agreed is one of the best pop songs ever written. The records go on and on and on. It’s easy to see why he’s one of the best-selling artists of all time. Nobody will ever be on his level. I just don’t believe it’s possible. He was the boy next door, who by 1979 was becoming a man, and it seemed like everyone was rooting for him, from the greats like Ray Charles and James Brown and Diana Ross, to the Bible Belt of white middle America, to Japan, to everywhere. By 1982 he was literally a god, it was almost fairytale like how he became exactly the superstar everyone thought and expected him to be. When he died in 2009 people remembered how much they loved him all over again through the time machine that is YouTube. Some of his videos are almost at 1 billion views, so it's new generations of kids are growing up with his music all over again. For 30 years he made classic pop, gospel, soul, dance, r&b, funk and rock songs, with a new wave glam attitude but also an appreciation for Broadway style choreography, and Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire routines. He will forever be the King of Pop. Skinni Pussi ConfirmedT
Werewoof 2,476
They’re both wonderful. I know J is proud of his wife, as he should be, but really there’s no need to even mention MJ. Beyoncé is wonderful, she doesn’t need to be compared to other artists for her talent and accomplishments to shine

I get it when she shows up, she has an impact but i always forget about her in between That’s the way it should be.
