Do we not think they're stretching data to elongate the pandemic? I mean they are a private company with its own ambitions, one of which is to increase share price. If I were them I'd predict the virus for as far out as I could.

Technically the vaccines aren't even "free" since the government only has money to buy them because they get taxes from all of us.

 

But just imagine if we had to pay for them ourselves directly... then even less people would get vaxxed so it's of course a lot better like this

Vaccinated people can still spread the virus and create new mutations though. In fact, if non vaccinated people have to do a test everytime they wanna do something, they are less likely to spread it than vaccinated people imo.

Its never truly free. Thats tax resources that is either diverted from other spending or accumulated as debt both of which will end up impacting everyone in the long run one way or another

Yes they produced a very effective weapon/toll against the pandemic and for that we should be grateful

 

But things are not always as black and white as they appear and because this has become highly political too some ppl loose objectivity. Its almost taboo to criticize anything to do with vaccines

 

They are still mega companies with deep financial interests in selling as many shots as possible. When they start throwing around 3rd shot boosters idea as early as several months ago before much of any data was even available i question motives. I also wonder how trials were done exactly as stuff can be manipulated to push towards getting the results u want

 

Im double dosed and for the moment personally im gonna leave it at that. If in time the Government continues to support it with plenty of data out then ill consider getting my 3rd one.

 

Im not inclined to keep jabbing myself the moment a corporation making billions out of the pandemic says i need another one. I think this needs to be highly scruitinized and proven. Our bodies and tax dollars are not their piggy bank cash cows

I heard Astrazeneca made that plegue to nit profit from these vaccines but ive heard of no such thing from pfizer or moderna

 

In any case i see nothing wrong if they chose to make a small profit. They invested a lot into it, took some risk and created a product of great value to everyone... But given the seriousness of it and the ppl it has killed it would be beyond sick to make big profits out of it or charge far more than necessairy

 

I dont have the numbers so i dont know but i suspect Pfizer and Moderna especially are probably pumping out margins that wouldnt sit well with most people in a pandemic

What a bunch of hypocrites. It wouldn't last that long if they made the vaccine public. Of course their objective is to make money as a private company but I can't accept they make public declarations like this one. I hope the company rots once this damn pandemic is over
