LilyLark 10,098
I saw the Lost Daughter at a film festival and it was amazing...but I low key think this would be a good line up for the Oscars (even if Olivia is missing).

pedrohemg 7,802
I don't understand why Jamie Dornan is being nominated for almost everything. He's just average in Beslfast. Hate it or love it, but Jared deserves much more recognition. At least, we're talking about Jared performance, but Jamie, well...

Interesting, I thought he was the best part of Belfast....I thought he was better than Hinds (in the same film) and even Kodi in Power of the Dog. To me, he didn't just have charm but a sort of interesting warmness on screen. The way you feel about Jaime is the way I feel about Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffmann in Licorice Pizza (I saw it when I was in L.A. over Thanksgiving weekend). Didn't see Licorice yet, but certainly will. But Belfast, well, let me say thank God The Power of the Dog is becoming the favorite for BP. Everyone was so hyped about Belfast that it seemed a done deal. I don't think it deserve to win. For me Caitriona was the highlight of the movie. Maybe it's not a fair comparison because she's the lead, and so she had more opportunities to show a stronger performance, but I felt Jamie was just ok. Not bad at all, but also not great. I need to watch the other performances to see if he deserves or not, but if I had to choose him or Jared, I'd certainly go with Jared. But maybe both will make it, because I think the SAG will save Jared.

Interesting, as while I kinda agree with what you said about Dornan, Leto was in my opinion absolutely horrid in HoG. I hope Kodi wins this. Belfast was a good movie, though not even close to The Power of the Dog. The latter is absolutely amazing!

If he got nominated for The Little Things, I'd be shocked if he missed out for Gucci. I also loved Power of the Dog...it was one of my favorite films of the year and I hope Jane Campion wins best director.

Arloway 147
This is huge. I believe many voters of this award also vote for the Academy. It says that Gaga has international support. It also indicates Penelope might have more international support than we expect, considering the fact that she missed too many US critics awards and CCA

At the very least she's not gonna get into Bafta
