Yes, I think having to wear a mask despite being triple vaxxed is asinine. I'm just tired of being lied to by the "experts". Every other month or week, they're reversing course on their guidance and I (and many others) am tired of the inconsistency.

Vaccination doesn't prevent you from catching covid nor from spreading, it can make spreading much harder and illnes much weaker. However, masks do prevent catching a spreading it. Experts have been saying this for like a year now.

I'm not having fun tonight.

I dont understand how being cripple vaxxed and wearing a mask is asinine. Those who are vaxxed can still carrythe virus, and transmit it to those who are unvaxxed and cannot receive the vaccine?

I'm not sure how to respond without a WP but, at this point in the pandemic, I genuinely do not care about unvaxxed people. I'm tired of having my life inconvenienced to protect theirs when they are choosing to not do the simple act of getting vaccinated. Those who have certain medical issues that prevent a vaccination are one thing, but the rest. Sorry.

You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.

You’re listening to politicians.

It’s been known transmission/infection is possible even when vaccinated for months.

Any intelligent person is wearing a mask when indoors in a public place with many people.

I wish states imposed more public health mandates in general. But “muh freedums!” :mark:

Personally, and already boostered, I love not having gotten sick in the last 2 years by wearing masks wherever I’m at. Also glad to not be spreading anything  if I am a carrier of it, asymptomatically — even to those who are unvaxxed! But especially those at risk. Kids, elderly, immunocompromised.

We live in such individualism, which blows. More communalism is so needed in the US.

Trust me I understand that, i personally believe that those who are unvaxxed (by choice) are among the most selfish and unintelligent people in our society at this point. However at the end of the day, we do have some sort of responsibility to at least limit the spread and protect those who cannot receive the vaccine from medical issues they may have.

Um ok I mean. I dont think I have been to an entertainment space in NYC that they do not require vaccination records for entry. People are largely wearing masks everywhere but places that do require a vaccination ID.

So from the looks of it nothing seems to change. Kinda sounds like clickbait lol

I'm from Europe and this is not even news :emma: somehow I'm always surprised by how different the USA and Europe can be. Masks have been mandatory indoors since forever now and it's not a big deal. I find it really curious how the USA makes a fuss about everything, while I guess Europe is so submissive...

The US is obsessed with “freedom” without realizing it’s one of the most enslaved countries there is. Slaves to consumerism and capitalism. The government doesn’t take care of its people like they’re supposed to.

So they have to parade guns and not wearing masks to feel like they’re in control.

It's "all lives matter" until it is a slight inconvenience to them.

Well, I'm definitely stupid then because I went to a sold out concert without a mask 10 days ago.

This isn't the flex you think it is. What exactly are you trying to prove? @HuffsAhoy

As someone living in Florida I really wish we were taking this as seriously as New York or California. Gov. Deathsantis is far too busy pandering to the trump base to care though

You can’t make people wear masks forever. Especially with the booster vaccine available, those who wish to wear masks to protect themselves are more than welcome to.

Those who have been triple vaccinated within a period of 7-8 months deserve the freedom to not wear a mask. That said, individual businesses also have the right to enforce masks if they wish.

See, I actually hate that I left Florida for North Carolina last summer. It was nice seeing them get back on their feet so quickly with bars and other things re-opening by the end of 2020.

Democrats do not believe in this concept. They're whole platform is built on keeping this pandemic going because they think its driving up their support base when, in fact, it's doing the opposite. I know so many people, myself included, who were once rapid liberals who are seeing through their façade and leaving the party because of their insistence on keeping covid protocols alive, even with vaccines and boosters.

Just to add something, those unintelligent antivaxxers are the ones that can saturate the health system, so at the end we all suffer the consequences. It irritates me a hell but yeah, at the end we need to protect those little ******. How ironic :madge:
