You don't have to worry about him pot stirring or trying to cause sh*t for Gaga, even if his notes may look like that.... I actually wonder if her publicist decided to have her do an interview with Scott because of his calm demeanor and the fact that he doesn't go for clickbait. There are a ton of journalists at Variety who clearly love Gaga, but the main guy who does the awards forecasting (basically, Variety's equivalent of Scott) tends to go for the most clickbaity angles. He did it to Kristen Stewart and Benedict Cumberbatch....Granted, Scott and Clayton (from Variety) are basically the two main guys who do 'awards' interviews so it could be just that, too. Nah, Scott is like a super soft interviewer... I remember that interview...that was basically stat rape in the worst case scenario and just wrong in the best case scenario and it's weird...if it was brought up now it would be a much bigger deal. Cynthia talks about it often. I can't remember the exact age but it was around 14, 15 when she saw the change in her but just put it down to typical teenage moodiness. I don't think she's ever said she didn't have friends, we know she's been bffs with Bo since forever. But you can have friends and still be bullied. Even with kind of mediocre reviews I can't see them voting for a complete newbie like Rachel Zegler over Nicole (or Jessica, Penelope, Jennifer). I think we should all just enjoy this year's Oscars. Firstly let's hope she gets nominated (all signs are good) but I think this is Kristen's year and Gaga can go and chill out for the first time ever not having to perform or worry about making a speech. It will be her 4th nomination and 2nd nom for her second movie. Incredible stats. She is still building her movie career and becoming an undeniable talent aa an actress and a box office draw. It's an exciting time for her and I hope little monsters enjoy it with her instead of only being happy with a win. She's already got her Oscar!! I actually think Nicole might win even with the mixed-positive reviews. SAG allegedly loved the film....and while people love Kristen's performance they tend to be more mixed on the film. Olivia's kind of a wildcard. She's arguably the 'best' actress of the bunch and The Lost Daughter received excellent reviews...and yet allegedly SAG did not like the film much. However, she's wildly popular with her fellow actors and...well....the Oscars is in some ways a popularity contest. That said, the whole popularity contest bit might end helping Kristen...Nicole & Olivia are super popular but Kristen has Julianne Moore on her side (who made a long as* speech raving over her at Gotham) and she's also tight with Charlize Theron. Those two could hold screenings for her, etc..... I feel like Gaga has an 80% of being nominated at this point. I won't name names, because I don't want the critic harassed as he was meh on the film and the performances (though he didn't blame the actors, he blamed Ridley for it all)....but he's repeatedly tweeted about how box office can help a film's chances if it seen as a commercial film (Gucci, Dune). But yeah, it is a tough year..... Kristen stewart has been in the business for a long tíme. She has a lot of people rooting for her.. Jodie Foster, Juliette Binoche, Olivier Assayas. Elizabeth Banks.. Like she's worked with so many people and she's tight with people like Taika Waititi. I think they will all vote for her. They know she's a hard worker and the tough time she's had with the tabloids etc. Celebs notice that even more than we do because they know how horrible it can be. I know Olivia and Nicole are popular too but the difference is they have Oscars so they really don't have that due factor that might make the difference when it comes to voting. To be fair, Kristen's performance is fantastic. She certainly deserves it more than Nicole who was seen as her nearest competition. Gaga deserves a nom based on reviews but Jennifer and Jessica C are also popular. It's definitely a tight as hell race for the last 2 spots. But my gut is saying Gaga is safe.
