I mean... I am not an expert but what I hear Heathens is written in G minor and Buzzcut Season is in C# Major and both repeat iambic pentameter in the first sentence. Anyway - the similarity is recognisable! But i still think heathens is a good song and is different to (the masterpiece) buzzxut seasion and Lorde and Aurora should collab. Like NOW! I hope this new album continues in the direction of Step 1. I have to say I'm a bit apprehensive though. I don't like Cure For Me as much as her other stuff, and that song + heathens + exist for love + giving in to the love sound like they belong to wildly different albums. It's strange because her first album was extremely cohesive almost to the point of it all sounding the same.
