Glad Gaga got the nom nonetheless They aren't big, but the momentum helps. Satellite isn't that big of a deal, but it's more influential than the HCA. The big 'awards' for all films (some are aimed more at indies, so I'm not including them) are SAG, Critic's Choice, Golden Globes, and BAFTA. The ones mostly based on critics but that still have influence (critics don't necessairly line up with awards bodies) are NBR, LAFCA (L.A. Film Critics Awards), and NYFCC (NYC). Those critics tend to only announce winners and occasionally a runner up, not nominees....but most critics like HCA will announce nominees. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
