I'm so happy for both of them, but I don't think I understand why LFS is included in pop categories???

It’s a traditional pop album

Is jazz music considered as a part of traditional pop? I'm really curious

When’s the cut off date? I thought it was September

September 30th and we know Love For Sale was released on October 1st but they shipped cassettes on the 30th so technically it was released at the very last minute.

No. Jazz has a separate category. This category is for classical music and songs from the American song book. Both L4S and C2C have songs from the Great American songbook.

There's a jazz category too but I don't really understand the difference

EDIT: Someone explained it :ladyhaha:

Traditional pop is jazz, jazz isn’t always traditional pop. Sort of like how Chromatica can be both an electronic album and a pop album. Electronic is the sound of pop right now, just like jazz was the sound of pop 80 years ago.

Traditional pop follows the legacy and structure of popular jazz from the 40s-60s, while jazz now doesn’t (it can but it doesn’t need to).

Guess the #3 #4 and #5 are our only chances.

Wouldn't sound right to give AOTY or ROTY to cover songs, and best video to a cheap video shot in recording studio

I really see them winning at least 3 Grammys   :firega:

My bets are on Traditional Pop Vocal Album, Pop Duo and ROTY, hopefully :flutter:

I don't see them winning Best MV (911 deserved... They really messed up that one :selena:) and maybe Billie wins AOTY, but if they get it, I wouldn't complain :ladyhaha:

HEARTSTOP

Grammys are GENEROUS this year. Great for Gaga and Tony, but honestly I'd only count on Best Traditional Pop Album at best.
