I'm not surprised about this though. The rollout of this album is a mess :fail: She didn't appear on any shows in the US for the entire week... No GMA, no SNL, no tonight shows... Nothing... They didn't even tweet about her new album coming out until Friday afternoon... It's tragic :smh:

Didn’t she have a literal prime time mini concert filmed like a movie attended by celebrities?

Well, if Adele couldnt reach the million copies sold in the first week, then i think any artist cant. Although, Taylor might have a chance.

I mean, there was no Adele before Adele... So someone will inevitably come along and be able to pull those numbers some day imo.

Didn’t Folklore do 840k?

846K, it was before Billboard changed merch and shipping rules and she had 8 versions of vinyl and CDs.

this might not be the place, and I love the record, but it's not as good as her other albums. I mean, To Be Loved is my personal greatest song of all time. But there aren't really any mega hits on 30 for the general public.

Anything between 850k-1m is a massive success. I just know she will pull off 1million+ . We dont know the digital itunes numbers yet.

That makes sense. 30 does feel like a more intimate project that she wanted to do without wanting to have another Rolling In The Deep or Hello BIG single.

I think this prediction takes everything into consideration? :) But would be fun if she did

All of you saying decay and flop when gaga hasn't done numbers like this in about a decade

I don't understand why I always see people defending whoever the thread is about by coming for Gaga. We know all of Gaga's quirks and sales numbers. The point of this site is not to judge everyone because they're lesser than Gaga. That's never what anyone thinks.

People here are just critical of everybody and know how trends in sales work and how things usually go over the course of a pop artist's career. Adele is probably on a decline. Apparently it's intentional. She's still phenomenally talented. It's fine.
