No I think Xtina and even Gaga in her interviews were trying to not talk to the media about Britney because the media are the very people who caused her downfall and subsequently the conservatorship on the first place. I think they also thought it’s not their place to speak on Britney’s behalf and let Britney speak to the media if she chooses to.

I feel for Christina though. She's been supporting her, means no harm, and it must upsetting for Britney vs Xtina to be an issue, even 20 years later. I think social media freedom and an understanding of stan twitter are newish to Britney, so there's must be a grace period where she's probably going to figure out stans are often terrible and fanning the flames is not ideal. That said, I can see why she felt a way about that clip of Christina and her PR guy, especially with no context of Christina's supportive words on twitter this summer. Feel bad all around.
