Gonna need To Be Loved as the showstopper in the eventual musical about her life and career. :firega:

This is definitely a grower album. Still not sure where it rests for me in her discography but I’m finding myself going back to: To Be Loved, Oh My God, Cry Your Heart Out, EoM.

Cameltoe Chariot

Absolutely hands down her greatest body of work. She’ll be taking album of year at the Grammy’s AGAIN, ladies :partysick:

I’m in the minority but I’m underwhelmed.

The beginning and end of the album is strong but the middle is just not doing it for me.

I’ll revisit some songs but 30 is no 25 or 21. Still a solid album though.

Yikes. I really dislike this. So many soporific ballads. I like the jazz influences and the broadening from four minute pop song structure. I just can't find a compelling turn of phrase or emotional moment that doesn't feel wrung out so badly that it's practically begging for vindication.

Idk if we're all listening to the same album ... but this is miles better than 25.

I can't say if it's better than 21 (yet), but I love the tiny bits of experimentation here. I also thoroughly enjoy that she went for something a bit more moody.

Easy on Me, My Little Love, Oh My God, All Night Parking, Woman Like Me, and To Be Loved were initial highlights for me.

Cameltoe Chariot

Are you guys even listening to this album lmao there’s only a couple of piano ballads

This is her best reviewed album and the rest of the internet is losing their minds over it. Hating on 30 on GGD isn’t going to do anything for your fave :vegas:

This is definetely different from 21 or 25. The standouts for me:

1. Love is a Game- best on the album, and one of her best songs ever. The instrumentation and vocals(background) are insanely good. This is a high quality throwback, with an amazing outdo and a great end to This album.

2) To Be Loved : probably the best vocal of her career. Heartfelt and emotional.

3) I drink Wine : this one is fun and singable. Again high quality instrumentation and production.
4) Hold on: good message, good vocals, this one builds dramatically.

5) Strangers by nature: great intro to the album. Great instrumentation and retro production.

Woman like me had an interesting sound to it. I didn’t like it At first, but the longer I listened the more I liked it. My little love is really raw and shows her vulnerable side. All night parking was nice. Everything else was where the experimentation came in. This is where I didn’t vibe with the album- for me there is was too much production on Cry Your Heart out, “Oh My God, and Can I get it. She definetely delves into Rnb and then switches and delves into rock/country vibes. While I understand she doesn’t want to fit one sound forever, I thought the choruses were too weak on the expiremental type songs on the album. Maybe they will grow on me.

Overall this album is super cohesive in its theme- which is typically how albums win album of the year. It’s almost a year long journal entry into her life getting a divorce. She definetely branched out with half of the album in its sounds.

New sound, it's an improvement of her style! Jazz-blues vibes and an influence from Amy Winehouse and Ella Fitzgerald that i adore!

I didn't find it her best record though, there are so many fillers and weak songs!

I keep only 3 songs Oh my God, it has the potential to be a huge hit! I Drink wine, best choice for second single and Love is a game for third!

Good luck!
