Rappers got their numbers from streaming so they release long albums. Do rappers make less money with physical copies or somthing? I get that having more songs might mean more streams in general but surely having higher quality songs that get higher streams is the better way to go then releasing a bunch of average/sh1t songs. The sheer amount of songs literally pushed me away from this album i tried to listen to like 5 or 6 of them and then i gave up. Im sure there must be a couple of good ones hidden in there but i dont have a whole ass day to try and find one decent song.

Kanye, Drake and other rappers debuted at #1 on Billboard only with digital release without physical copies. You only need to stream song for 30 second and it is counted as a stream. 3,750 free streams or 1,250 paid stream are equal to one album unit for Billboard chart. so they put so many songs because they want more streams, better numbers but quality doesn't matter. I see that makes sense then thanks for explaining. its rather embarrassing for such big artists to resort to quantity of quality just so they can look better on the charts. At least thats what it seems like in kanyes case i dont really listen to enuf rap albums to know if the lack of quality translates to other rappers either. Regardless I guess they are big headed enuf to think all the music they release will sell or atleast gain a click.
