Earlier this year, Target also had preorders for Nintendo animal crossing amiibos that were very in demand. People placed their preorders and were limited to only one per customer but the day of release, Target just let random people walk in and buy Amiibo packs that were meant for the preorders. Scalpers were walking out with 20+ packs at a time just so they could go list them on eBay for 5 times the price.
