granted, we're still coming out of a pandemic and maybe that layer of anxiety is present for that sole reason. and TBH i don't really think we should be speculating what her mental health is just based on interviews and promo.

I was going to say Gaga's openly discussed her mental health battles and depression. If she's unhappy, it's probably not due to work (or at least not all of it is due to work). That's not really how depression works.

I also feel like sometimes we just overanalyze sh*t. Photos just capture a moment. Plus, she, Bradley, and Sam Waterson seemed to have a real friendship (Sam was even wearing a Born this Way T shirt at one point) even if she and Cooper played it up for the cameras a bit. I feel like fans should realize that 95% of the time it's probably not going to be the way it was with the ASIB cast.

I don't know, I just feel like some fans overanlyze and see everything in extremes (as in love or hate). Al Pacino looks grumpy all the time and Jared constantly has a spaced out expression. Adam Driver looks surly 99% of the time and downright rude (to be fair, he apparently has anxiety, but I remember there was some video of him at a press conference for another film and he was like...staring at his watch while another actor talked). It doesn't mean he hates Gaga, it's just his personality...and honestly I'm not surprised if they didn't mesh but not being bffs doesn't mean they hate each other.  And I'd also say that I read a few writes up by Tom and Lorenzo, Lainey, etc. and they all pointed out that he seemed rather bemused & like he was having fun at one point, which is apparently rare (as they noted) in between all the frowning.

TLDR: Basically, three of her co-stars are known to a) either look grumpy asf or b) look spaced out/not smiling. It likely has nothing to do with Gaga, and even if they aren't friends with her it's doubtful they dislike her.

The ASIB cast and her seemed like real friends (Sarah Paulson also adored her), but I also think that's unusual that every cast gets along that well.  I don't know, I feel like people are just overanalyzing expressions. I wrote a long as* post about how the other actors seems grumpy, spaced out, and downright rude most of the time and it's likely nothing to do with Gaga (Adam in particular).

Love my Queen Gaga, but she seems off somehow. I don’t know if it’s because she is tired from the Vegas Jazz shows or Press from House Of Gucci….but she seems cold and off.

Tbh, there was times that she was high at some point during the ASIB era lol. I heard from some Little Monsters that she was high during the Grammys at that time.

 

and didn't she make Chromatica during 2018-2019/ASIB era? I think we all know what mental state she was on during making Chromatica.

I don’t understand this over analyzing?it’s some crazy fan ****.  It’s kind of gross actually. She’s been pretty transparent with how she feels. 

She is at movie premiere as a popstar and actress….doing that. Leave it alone weirdos.

Im glad I’m not the only one who felt this way, the cast except for Salma seem weird around Gaga. Gaga is so emotional and caring about her projects, maybe the cast just isn’t used to that?

I know ASIB wasn’t her first acting experience but if we are comparing, Bradley was her costar and director. That’s a whole other type of working relationship and probably why their press looked the way it did. Also I might be confusing timelines, but hasn’t Gaga admitted there were instances of depression during that time as well? So even though she looked so happy, when she went home she wasn’t. Or I might be wrong.

The thing is the cast, with the exception of Salma, has a reputation for being surly/pissed off/etc on the red carpet & in interviews...particularly Al and Adam (although with Adam, he apparently deals with anxiety). I really think it has nothing to do with Gaga and is more just the general vibe. Like they might not mesh with Gaga's extraness, but I doubt they'd be rude to her or cold on purpose. They are professionals.

And Gaga, Sam, and Bradley's vibe was not the norm...most casts don't act that way with each other.
