I just can't put my finger on it but minus Salma who's so adorable, the rest of the cast seems so disengaged and awkward. Dare I say, they look mad lmao. Somebody needs to pass them some champagne, a cigarette, hell a blunt.

I think it's just the nature of the cast. Adam Driver is usually a very serious person who doesn't like the banter a lot. Al Pacino is sorta the same and Jared can be a bit reserved at times too. We also know Gaga herself can be rather serious (look at pretty much all the ASIB interviews), though I do think she's getting better at just natural speaking and talking instead of making it seem like she's memorizing a script.

Agree. Salma is so cute and genuine. Adam is awkward & having none of the promo, he seems like he’s hating it. Jared seems jealous that there is less attention on him. And Pacino is Pacino

Gaga is doing her best to adapt to a painfully awkward dynamic, she’s doing well, but the men have to give her something more to work with. There’s a lot of egos in the room and most of them are probably not used to being upstaged like this. I mean let’s be real, majority of the questions so far are about Gaga, and they’re probably salty about it. Also they’re probably not used to the level of fanfare that comes with a Gaga-related promotional tour.

I get it. For me, it feels extremely off putting. God bless Salma for being such a ray of sunshine in that room

Yeah, I can see that. I also think their potential awkwardness is highlighted even more when you contrast it to the movie. Like, the movie itself is campy and it's about family and all of that, but in reality, most of these actors are just playing these parts as another part of their job. Their emotional connection to the story and characters is probably very different from them vs. Gaga's.

OMG this whole cast is so weird in real life! 

The only approachable and 100% natural one seems to be Salma 

On the other hand is unbelievable seeing Gaga taking the spotlight among such a strong cast... And it's only her second movie! I am starting to think she can reach really high in her actress side
