Just stumbled upon this video, it was such a lovely watch. Tony being there for Amy, the respect he has for her, how he talks to her about Dinah Washington to calm her down. Made me realize how good he must have been to Gaga in her hard moments.

That is so beautiful, it'd have been great to see them record an album together, I'm sure he'd have asked her, he knew she was unique. Also love that Amy is so nervous but Tony knew how to calm her and just talk about stuff they both love so she'd be comfortable and relaxed.

Didn't Gaga say Tony would have been working with Amy instead of her had she not passed?

She was such a talented lady :bradley:

When Amy is talking about Dinah Washington and says "She died so young, not even 40..." :ohno:

And then Tony told her Dinah had a tough life :bradley:

I love how he would understand and support Amy so much, how he could just calmly talk to her like a close friend and give her confidence when she was feeling nervous, that big mutual respect is touching.

This is such a weird coincidenceeee I got chills, I was literally revisiting her music last night and contemplating her career and life, thinking about her brilliant mind and talent. I haven’t listened to her in years and back when I did I wasn’t into listening to full albums so I never knew b-sides from her or her other album Frank and last night I was AMAZED by how good Frank is. I don’t want to speak too soon but I might love it even more than Back to Black????... okay, we’ll see. But wow, what a weird coincidenceeee.

OMG did he really say that? In another reality it would have been very sweet if he had saved both

Nah Gaga said it, "It would have been her" in the 60 minutes episode she was in recently, you should watch!

He would never say something like that lmao he has a very kind heart. Gaga said it in the Zane Lowe interview and Zane told her that Tony would’ve found a way to work with the both of them.

There is another interview after Amy's death where Tony expresses regret that he never got to have a conversation with her to warn her about her lifestyle (he had intended to). That must have been heartbreaking for him. He obviously didn't repeat that mistake with Gaga.

To be an artist of his calibre and at the same time such a total gentleman - both of those things are hard work - Tony is some man.
