Gaga is a respected actress in Hollywood - did you miss her Oscar-nominated turn in A Star Is Born or something? If she wasn’t respected, she would not have been considered, let alone nominated, for the industry’s most prestigious award for acting.

Reviews are (usually) written by rich, old, white men - you cannot claim to be a lover of cinema and then admit you don’t watch movies based on mixed reviews.. House Of Gucci hasn’t even officially been reviewed yet - media outlets are putting out their reviews of it one day prior to its release. There’s been several tweets both praising & criticizing the film, but they aren’t official reviews. The film is a campy crime drama.. how is that even comparable to The Devil Wears Prada? Maybe wait til you see the film before you judge it so harshly.

Girl, I'm not being harsh, I love both Sophie's Choice and Devil Wears Prada. :ladyhaha: All I am saying is that Gucci will not be that one film that is universally acclaimed in Gaga's career and that I'm waiting for her next film to be just that because I care about reviews, sue me. I'm still excited to watch it, it will definitely be fun.

He is comparing her Madonna because this old gay is a Britney stan, and Britney stans always hide behind other artists to do their dragging. Britney stans have been trying to sabotage Gaga's career since 2009.

He is also angry that britney was only ever in 1 movie and won 2 RAZZIES for it

I think it's so funny I figured there was nothing even remotely objective nor legit in his post just by reading it. (I even doubt he really attended the screening)

Now, considering I am not a genius, the only possible alternative is these persons are a bunch of idiots.

I'm a real Fire CRRRACKERRR

Y’all always say Madonna stans are the shadiest towards Gaga but personally I’ve seen much more s**t coming from Britney stans, they always seem so pressed any time Gaga does anything

But why do they do that? I’ve never understood. Britney loves Gaga and even follows her on on Instagram.

I'm happy with the positive reviews of Gaga's performance. However, I'm not gonna lie, I am a little concerned about the film as an all. I love cinema, and I usually don't even bother to watch movies with mixed reviews, don't matter how popular they are, just because I go to the theaters to feel entertained and learn something from that art piece. I was hoping Gucci would be that great film about love pushed to the limit.

I guess House of Gucci is like Devil Wears Prada and not Sophie's Choice. Perhaps next time, since I would say Gaga is on her way to becoming an established, respected actress in Hollywood.

I mean a ton lot of good movies don't sit well with critics. I don't think it's a good idea to skip movies with mixed reviews just because it has mixed reviews. I don't want to say it, but maybe it's a little bit snobbish? I'm not trying to offend you at all, just open your mind and let it flow! Seriously. I had the same attitude some time ago.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

It's so weird. I'm a Britney stan too and I remember being on Exhale in 2009-2011 and there was SO much hate for Gaga. I think maybe because she blew up right around the time of Britney's comeback with Circus, so they felt she was being overshadowed by Gaga.

Also Gaga was always talking about her authenticity, her song writing, her LIVE singing etc etc which just further emphasized the fact that Britney lip syncs, rarely writes her music etc.

There was a lot of Brit vs Gaga stan tension leading up to early 2011 when both ladies were dropping their albums (Born This Way and Femme Fatale).

A lot of classic movies received mixed reviews when they were released. The Godfather, The Shining.. the list goes on. At the end of the day critics are also human beings. Their taste isn’t better than anyone else lol

Jennie Kim

Let's star praying for a 60+ on Rotten Tomatoes.

I think the movie will be the Vice (Adam Mckay) of this awards season.

I’m anticipating a 55-71 on RT.

It's just to save time really. I'm not gonna watch Cats, because reviews are terrible. If all of them hate it, why would I like it? That's my point. Besides, here are several films with good reviews that I hate. :ladyhaha: I'm not that inflexible about it like may come across with my comment.
