I was trying to explain this in another thread...the gays, girls, and a big section of the GP love this sh*t (they want Gaga to go full on camp goddess), but the film bodies, film twitter, film journalists, etc. can be petty and judgmental. The music world loves big, over the top personalities like Elton, Mick Jagger, Aretha, Cher, Gaga, etc. but you don't really see that equivalent in the movie industry (Jon Waters and Cher being the exception). So I do worry they won't take her serious enough when she's giving full on Cher meets Vegas diva....

That doesn't mean it's going to impact her ability to get jobs or anything like that, but I'm talking about awards nominations.

I do think around ASIB she was (mostly) sincere, in comparison, but even then I remember watching some interview and she brought up the 100 thing quote and literally winked at the audience and laughed.

About ASIB, she was still sincere and her message stayed true and consistent, she was just self conscious that the phrase becase this viral meme.

it was said about her and how she plays with fashion, and even then she adds that whatever she wears, she wears it from the inside, meaning it has to be true to herself and who she is.

anyways, you can make jokes, be self-conscious and still be and sincere and honest to yourself and your message.

I feel like she just loosely spoke her mind not thinking about how this comes across.

 

When I read what she said I was like..."oh ok wtf" lol  but when I watched the interview it felt more natural and not that big of a deal cuz she was so in character... dunno how to explain. I think she really puts her all in her work as we all know, but for people who don't know how she is and how she works this can seem very awkward I guess.

 

But we have to keep in mind that they shot this movie during a pandemic and I doubt that she left her hotel room much (she even said so herself) so she was just goin' from set to playing her all day long and goin' back to her hotel room. At some point you must be goin' nuts and finding it difficult to distinguish between what's real and what's not.
