She really looked at her bank account and told her team she needs more money :rip:

I mean I don’t think she makes as much money off of the song as everyone thinks. It’s more so her only piece of relevancy with the GP any more.

And she teased something for Friday :bradley:

Her annual check is about to come through, so of course she’s gonna make the most….

Why are you talking like she‘s some bankrupt in debt mess that is in need of some check? :billie: she has plenty for her entire family to sit back and retire for a lifetime + more.

She commits this hard to Christmas because she genuinely has loved this season since forever.

As of 2017, the song was reported by The Economist to have earned $60 million (around £45 million) in royalties, from the US alone. That equates to an approximate $2.6 million (£1.9mn) per year.

Even though the song has been around for 25 years, it hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 list for the first time this year. Carey's song has already earned more than $2 million in royalties since the song was first added to Spotify, according to a study by Broadband Deals, and that number is expected to continue to grow quickly: If this holiday season is anything like the last, Carey's song is estimated to bring in about $600,000 between November 2019 and this Christmas, according to Broadband Deals.

She should surprise drop a whole new album near christmas while AIWTCIY is climbing the charts. Imagine the impact!

She needs to retire

Not when her last album was her best in years. She's still got it, she can still sing great. No reason to retire at all

They shipped it, but it got shipped back
