I hate that every thread about Madonna has to turn into a discussion about her face. People never comment on how Cher or Dolly Parton's faces look, but with Madonna that's always the only thing people focus on. Can't we just a have a tiny bit of positivity and kindness:noparty:

Her recent looks to me it gives such a dark creepy vibe. It looks like a victim of sex trafficking who has been kidnapped for a very long time and is now in their 60s, still working as a prostitute in dark alleys, it looks very sad and dark. But it is also her power, her choice, her body, her face and she chooses whatever she wants, I don't care, but just saying it looks so creepy a lot of the time :enigma:

She looks like a blow up doll i think that's what it is. she posted a pic of her ass on Instagram in a bed, and it looked sooooooo scary to me idk why

Although the two photos have a lot of photoshop, I am impressed that the second is Madonna, beyond the surgeries and retouching, there is something in her gaze that is no longer there. I personally love his career and everything he's done up to Rebel Heart, but after that I generally cringe at the things she does.

She likes Donda apparently. From the interview:

JOH: Has there been any thing that you’ve heard or seen recently that are cute?

M: I mean, the only thing that I’ve heard recently that has inspired me is Kanye’s record Donda. There are very few artists that are working toward failure. And I feel like he is.

JOH: He’s staring at an abyss right now.

M: Totally. I can’t say that I agree with all of his politics and the way that he thinks of women, or unmarried people having sex, or the gay community. But his work is on the razor’s edge, and it’s inspiring and it’s rare. Everybody was waiting so long for his record to come out and then finally when it came out, everybody else’s record came out, too. And he still stood out.

JOH: Yeah. But, did you not feel a certain type of way that he even invited DaBaby?

M: I was conflicted about that, but, like I said, I have to pay attention to the message, not the messenger. That’s important. Listen to the teachings. Don’t get caught up in the teacher, what the teacher’s doing. I mean, if you want to get down to dissect the character, look at the way Martin Luther King lived his life. You know, he was a Christian, God-fearing man preaching about morals and values and family. And he had mistresses everywhere. And definitely, not living up to the image that he was presenting about himself, but does that take away from what he did for the world and how he sacrificed his life and how he was willing to work to failure, the ultimate failure, which is death by assassination?

Ma'am :air:

I'm speechless :air:

I wish she would let herself age a tiny bit more naturally. I just can’t get over her plastic surgery and all the retouching. She is a woman who has lived an incredible life and I don’t see that on her face, I see someone who is trying to convince us she’s still 20.

Anyway, she looks beautiful and it’s a nice shoot.

I'm a huge Madonna fan, like since I was 10. But I seriously just cannot with her and those lips :bear: she looked so beautiful with her natural face.

But it is actually very common for people who have experienced sexual assault to continue changing their appearance. The psychology of it is tragic but very fascinating...

Cool outfits, cool pictures, but this is a 63 year old woman trying to stay relevant. You can be sexy and age, a little more ‘age’ will give her more respect and credibility.

You money can really buy Youth like this. She looks like a teenager! Kinda living for it but feel slightly uncomfortable.

This 63 year old woman is not “trying” to stay relevant, she is relevant. Otherwise she wouldn’t be doing 4 exclusive covers for V Magazine in 2021, which are all sold-out.

As for respect and credibility, she doesn’t need it from an anonymous male user on GGD named Timbo who feels entitled to dictate what a woman should or shouldn’t do.

Views like yours have followed Madonna all through her career. When she was 34, she was already being called Grandma, and told to tone it down to be more “respected” and “credible.” She didn’t do it, and hasn’t done it to this day, but still managed to become the biggest selling female artist of all time and an incompatable force and legend in pop music history.

So yes, go stan “respectable” and “credible” pop stars, who fit neatly into your category of what women should and shouldn’t be. Just be mindful of your disguised misogyny.

So much negativity in here. I love that she's making y'all feel uncomfortable. She'll always disturb you cause that's her vision. Get over it.

I'm a huge fan of Madonna but I don't care for those pics.  But if that's what she wants she should go for it and be happy.  I will support her just as much.  In fact, that's who she is;  someone who does what she wants and follows her vision.

I live outside the space time continuum.

I hate when magazines touch up a face so much but leave the hands unchanged. In that last picture her thumb looks so weird.
