OMG. A powerful media conglomerate is highlighting a white straight man dressing a certain way before a black gay man who has been doing it for years.

I mean most people think that Elvis Presley invented rock and roll, but it was POC that did.

I don't how hard it is to comprehend that this type of important moment affects history and how people remember it.

I don't get why you are fighting so hard for the white straight guy and the powerful media conglomerate.

I never said otherwise. You seem confused.

But you are denying that Billy is ok with an awards ceremony highlighting a cisgender man over his trans counterparts in the same way that he was sidelined in favor of Harry. And in fact it’s worse in the Pose case because the work is directly comparable and the trans stars actually are sidelined. In the Vogue shoot, the primary point of that story was not gender expression and Billy was not even considered for that cover because…. It’s a story about Harry.

You saying cisgender doesn't change the reality that Billy is a flamboyant effeminate gay black man that wears dresses. He has a billion things more in common to MJ Rodriguez and his trans costars than Matt Bomer who is also a cisgender gay man.

I mean how accepted do you think flamboyant gay males who wear nonbinary fashion are at the Emmys. Who was the last one to receive an Emmy? Besides RuPaul and Ru had to create his own goddamn show to win one.

It's ridiculous to equate a Billy to a white straight cisgender male and Billy's trans costars to Billy.  Like it's basically laughable and insulting.

I mean here we are again putting down a effeminate gay POC for a straight white goodlooking man.

Why is 'white' a word anyone is using here?!

Enough with the tangents. You are not disproving any point that I or that tweet made. No one is equating Billy to Harry. It’s illustrating that Billy is fine to take advantage of his privilege with not a second thought for those whose space he took, while at the same time, speaking out about someone with more privilege occupying a space he feels he deserves. It’s self serving, and reveals that his true priority is in fact his own ego.

And I'm asking you what privilege does a flamboyant effeminate gay man have at the Emmy's? At least the Emmy's have nominated a black trans woman before MJ and awarded a black trans woman an Emmy.

Like why are people upset at Billie's comment? It's like weird. There is no ah-ha moment. :billie:

Omg. The response from white gheyz here telling him to get over it, or that he is salty. Appalling. Shame on all of you. You completely missed his point. INTENTIONALLY, bcz just like Billy Said, same as Harry, he doesn't care.... On all of you. He's absolutely right and no there is no where Harry said he is bi. And no just cz he has never denied it doesn't mean it "means" he is, he's queer baiting and yall act like yall don't see that and play naive... Someone did say that it's purely cz Harry is more popular =sales, ads etc. Now that is the only point I can agree with. Everything else yall said is a blur here Don't even bother explaining yourself replying to this comment. I said what I said.

He's cisgender. His costars are trans. Do you not understand that cisgender men have privilege over trans women or are you purposely acting obtuse.

What you're saying is the same logic as white privilege being irrelevant if the white person is poor. Nah... they still have white privilege. You're not making any points... I don't know why you're still going at it. :air:

How is he more privileged if Billy was the first openly gay man to ever win an Emmy in an acting category.

Yes hunty, out of all of us out gays he was the first one to ever win a Emmy in an acting category ever.

You probably aren't proud because he effeminate and flamboyant and black.
