Former Little Mix member Jesy Nelson’s debut solo single Boyz ft. Nicki Minaj is the week’s highest new entry, landing at Number 4 on the Official Singles Chart.

Elton John and Dua Lipa climb to Number 1 on this week’s Official Singles Chart with Cold Heart (Pnau Remix) after three consecutive weeks at Number 2. The mash-up collaboration reaches the peak with 64,000 chart sales, including 5.9 million streams and 5,000 copies on limited edition CD single. It marks Elton John’s eighth Number 1 single in the UK and first for 16 years.
Meanwhile, Cold Heart earns Dua Lipa her third Number 1 hit in the UK following New Rules (2017) and One Kiss (2018).

Cold Heart’s success this week means Ed Sheeran’s four-week reign with Shivers comes to an end as it drops to Number 2. Across both Shivers and its predecessor Bad Habits, Ed spent a total of 15 consecutive weeks at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart.

Ridiculously, this is only Dua's first number 1 single this era. :applause:

I thought Levitating did reach #1, after that week of hard campaign?

I'd say she did REALLY well considering people wanted her to flop and she was against Ed Sheeran who has spent 15 weeks at Number 1, Elton John and Dua..

Well these are how other other former girl group members first solo songs released peaked (where they are the main artist/joint). Also looking at the below she did pretty well!

Cheryl - Fight For This Love – 1
Emma Bunton - What Took You So Long - 1
Mel B ft Missy Elliot - I Want You Back - 1
Victoria Beckham/Dane Bowers/True Steppers - Out Of Your Mind - 2
Geri Halliwell - Look At Me - 2
Melanie C - Going Down – 4
Beyonce – Work It Out - 7
Louise - Light Of My Life - 8
Kimberly Walsh/Aggro Santos - Like You Like - 8
Normani & Khalid - Love Lies - 12
Mutya & George Michael - This Is Not Real Love - 12
Nicole Scherzinger - Baby Love - 14
Siobhan - Overrated - 19
Nadine Coyle - Insatiable - 26
Nicola Roberts - Beat Of My Drum - 27
Una Healy - The Waiting Game - 28
Camila Cabello/Shawn Mendes - I Know What You Did Last Summer - 42

Let's be honest with ourselves, despite how disastrous this whole project and rollout have been, 4 is great for a debut single.

But I will be interested to see how far she falls next week. :partysick:

I agree. Especially one such as boyz. Very impressive!

A Top 5 is a Top 5 :fan: no-one can take it from her even if it does fall.

Little Mix stopped debuting high the past few years, so this is pretty great - saying this I really hope that changes and their next single debuts high too!

The rollout has been so damaging to her career longevity, anything less than a No. 1 debut is disappointing in my opinion. I found a recent Independent article on the rollout interesting:

"She is currently on course for a Top 10 position. But you wonder how much of that has been generated by hate-clicks and shares by people who can’t believe just how bad the song is. It’s a novelty, not a career-launcher. So where does Nelson go from here?"

I'm keeping my fingers crossed she can course correct and come back with a better follow up.
