The only reason I assume he’s wrong is because in one of the Vogue interviews, the interviewer listens to Easy On Me in full and describes it as a piano ballad. No change in sound is mentioned

And I'm sure her team plans for a successful album, but Adele likely cares very little. When she came back for 25, she cried because she was worried no one would enjoy her music. That's all she wanted was people to enjoy it, because it is how she copes with things in her life (writing/singing).
