memomemome 1,478
This is celebrating Dr. Dre legacy, isn't it? Good for him tbh. So far superbowl is so artist centric. and for them trying to do producer-centric is something new, (I guess in superbowl) Who knew we will get Max Martin, Timbaland, Pharrell, etc kind of show. Even if you go back ten years BEP (yeah there’s Fergie, but still) 1 Madonna Beyoncé Bruno Mars 2 Katy Coldplay 3 Gaga Timberlake 4 Maroon 5 5 (ironic lol) Shakira/JLo Weekend 6 Thats still 6/10 male headliners. One of which is RnB/HipHop already. I don’t think that’s heavily favored toward female pop at all. Out of those shows, which ones were memorable and the best? The female pop ones… I mean I would kinda start from Madonna because that felt like the beginning of the female Superbowl reign. If we count from Madonna, then the male/female ratio would be 5:5, but I was talking more about the genre rather than the gender tbh. The Weeknd, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars are all pop stars and I was specifically referring to the hip-hop genre in my first sentence.

hELXIG 43,344
This is the most random collection of artists ever... Why do I feel like some white man in charge sat at the board room table this year and said: "the kids are making a big fuss about diversity on Twitter. So this year we are going to gather some 'urban' artists" I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
